Just that really - is this your main forum group? Or do you pick and choose what and where you post? Obviously you're going to ask for specific details about scuba or sky diving on appropriate sites, but for general chat or 'debate' forums, is it all here or do you spread the love/hate? I've only been here a year or two, having started with another baby site, a couple of facebook spin-offs and a couple of sports/holiday sites, but find most of my time is here now. Just being nosy really, faithful or floozy?

I dabble with MN but there are too many people on here who take themselves (and MN) far too seriously. No one on this thread, I'm sure!

I posted an anecdote once re: a child called Thomas Watson whose family didn't have a television and was so obsessed with watching it when he went to other kids' houses that he became known as 'Thomas What's-on-the telly'
I was told I shouldn't be identifying the child. To which I replied a) it's not exactly an unusual name and b) he's now a 6 foot tall grown man with a telly of his own

That used to be the norm. MN was much better back when. The PO arrived and it's not been the same since, sadly. But it's still better than anywhere else.

I don't come on here too much as I volunteer on a big fertility forum and that keeps me v busy

Mumsnet is awesome! And addictive! But it makes me think, challenge myself and listen.

Not me in RL. Love it.

SparklyTwinkleGlitter · 28/01/2015 00:42

I'm a Moderator on another work related Forum and mostly on MN.

I've had to drop out of other online stuff for now as I'm being hassled by someone who keeps posting unpleasant things on friends business pages and other forums pretending to be me. I'm just hoping she'll get bored soon and pick on someone else.

Theboodythatrocked · 28/01/2015 00:49

Good grief sparkly do you
Know her/him?

AmeliaPeabody · 28/01/2015 00:51

I visit balletco forum most days. A few other MNetters over there also I think judging by a fairly recent thread.

ourglass · 28/01/2015 08:22

Just Mumsnet and read BBC news.

BrendaBlackhead · 28/01/2015 10:07

I have been on here for years. Being a true MNetter, I can't stand the bad spelling and grammar on other forums (fora, even). There have been threads over the years asking if someone is BU to think less well of a poster whose posts are peppered with errors (not typos, I hasten to add) and, yes, I have to admit I do.

No, I don't know her in RL just from forums. She's a total fantasist and loves nothing better than spinning ridiculous tales for the attention. It's annoying that some former 'friends' lap it all up and believer her crap so readily. Although again, former friends are from a forum we all belonged to previously so not real life friends, thank god.
Apparently, she's recently started trolling some minor male celeb pretending to be me. I'm hoping he'll take action because when they start investigating the IT route, the fact I live in another country will quickly prove its not me doing it.
