to wonder if you're 'faithful' to mn, or do you get your forum fix from anywhere?

Just that really - is this your main forum group? Or do you pick and choose what and where you post? Obviously you're going to ask for specific details about scuba or sky diving on appropriate sites, but for general chat or 'debate' forums, is it all here or do you spread the love/hate? I've only been here a year or two, having started with another baby site, a couple of facebook spin-offs and a couple of sports/holiday sites, but find most of my time is here now. Just being nosy really, faithful or floozy?

Waves to witchway as another doctors forum regular.

ToastedOrFresh · 24/01/2015 08:18

Here and Arrse (though Arrse not as good i.e. funny as it once was). I'm also on another niche website and Facebook.

My services to timewasting should be honoured.

Lweji · 24/01/2015 08:20

MN is my second husband.
I still have a fairly strong relationship with my first husband forum, or rather the people who were on there.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 24/01/2015 08:21

Heard/read

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 24/01/2015 08:21

I have had a look. I also believe they were very hostile to MN.

Was a throwaway comment though..you seem a little touchy. I wasn't meaning anything by it

Lweji · 24/01/2015 08:23

Oh, I forgot LinkedIn too. But I mainly check groups updates for interesting info.

Yika · 24/01/2015 08:35

I used to love handbag too. Now I'm only on here.

betweenmarchandmay · 24/01/2015 08:42

I do Pinterest but just pin things ... don't interact with anybody much.

ArmyDad · 24/01/2015 08:42

No not touchy, and you're right they are opposite ends of the spectrum, but then one is a website for parents and one is for soldiers. Plus if you stay out of the NAAFI bar it gets more friendly.

YouTheCat · 24/01/2015 09:30

Usual, who was slagging you off on bmc? I might have them on facebook and I can beat them up for you. Grin

Roussette · 24/01/2015 09:51

I am just here and also Guardian website and I post there, but it isn't really a forum.

I miss Handbag, I used to love it, and it was the first forum I joined. About ten years ago I was on Handbag and MN, god knows how I found the time! I also joined 'Damsels' but it is very quiet and a bit boring so that faded out. MN has changed enormously since I first came on here - understandable really as it grows.

usualsuspect333 · 24/01/2015 09:59

Can't remember, Cat.

It was ages ago there was a thread about MN on bcm.I think a few of them came over here for a ruck. Grin

YouTheCat · 24/01/2015 10:15

There was a ruck. Grin

skylark2 · 24/01/2015 10:48

"is this your main forum group?"

Good grief no. My main forums are focused on my interests. The interests bits of the forums here - those about actually doing stuff - are really very quiet.

53Dragon · 24/01/2015 10:58

I dabble with MN but there are too many people on here who take themselves (and MN) far too seriously. No one on this thread, I'm sure!

I posted an anecdote once re: a child called Thomas Watson whose family didn't have a television and was so obsessed with watching it when he went to other kids' houses that he became known as 'Thomas What's-on-the telly'
I was told I shouldn't be identifying the child. To which I replied a) it's not exactly an unusual name and b) he's now a 6 foot tall grown man with a telly of his own Wink

MalibuStacy · 24/01/2015 11:40

Ha ha 53Dragon, that just about sums this place up Grin

MalibuStacy · 24/01/2015 11:50

Do you think we could have a Handbag reunion thread? I would love that! We could all NC to our old Handbag names and update all our old mates on how things are going.

mypoosmellsofroses · 24/01/2015 11:55

Any old BGH peeps about??

GreatAuntDinah · 24/01/2015 13:42

Www.justthetalk.com is my other home online.

suboptimal · 24/01/2015 13:47

I came here from B3ta but that forum seems very immature to me now. Way too much nastiness and trolling.

I used it mostly about 15 years ago when I was working a really dull job and I used to find it really funny.

GatoradeMeBitch · 24/01/2015 15:55

I like to post on Jezebel though I'm usually hidden in the greys which I don't like.

I used to post on DigitalSpy but there are so many male posters there with a real hatred for women, and their posts and comments make my skin crawl. (Also the constant theological debates are very boring and can take over any topic.) Reddit is another one where the misogynists tend to spill over everywhere from their specific woman hating areas - too depressing.

And if I'm in a fighting mood, I head to the Daily Mail comments! Grin

annadina · 24/01/2015 17:06

What was Handbag? I think the idea of reunions on here would be amazing, but completely explosive if they were anything like the forum group that I used to be on. Although most people appeared normal, there were some bat shit crazy posters doing all sorts of bad things. Liking the idea of a quick ask though, just to see Grin

SAAFE forum for escorts. I'm not and never have been an escort but I find the threads interesting.

HelloDoris · 24/01/2015 18:31

My 2 previous forum loves both eventually died a death.. Luckily the friends I made in real life from them both I see regularly. Don't post here often enough to make any impact or friends in RL..

fatlazymummy · 24/01/2015 18:37

I'm on DS and MSE. I haven't posted much on MSE much lately though because it's gone quiet. I lurk on quite a few forums, now and again.
