Well, am I? Friend thinks I am Blush

I almost wish I could sleep naked, but if I do I always end up having a dream/nightmare about being somewhere inappropriate without my clothes.
So I wear a short nightdress (and socks to start the night) which stops the problem.
If I am hot I sleep with just a sheet not a duvet, like a security blanket.

If I start to think about burglars or fires who knows where my dreams/insecurities will lead me.

gamerchick · 22/01/2015 19:33

No it's not strange. mrsm fart and you blast out shit.. your fanny is self cleaning or people wouldn't have to wear clean knickers every day.

Hey if people want to roll around in it then it's up to them but I reserve the right to think it's minging. Especially when you read that people dont like to change their beds to boot.

Thankfully it's not discussed IRL Grin

Hatespiders · 22/01/2015 19:36

My goodness Gamerchick for seventy years I've been rolling around naked in bed having blasted shit out in farts and secreted fanny fluid all over the sheet.
It's a wonder I've survived isn't it?

DurhamDurham · 22/01/2015 19:39

I'm almost that when I fart I don't BLAST out shit!! I fart quite a lot and there's rarely any shit around the place.

DurhamDurham · 22/01/2015 19:40

Almost sure that was meant to say

PrimalLass · 22/01/2015 19:51

I can't sleep naked. I either don't fall asleep or sleep really fitfully. But I cannot wear socks in bed.

Sallyingforth · 22/01/2015 19:56

I've always slept naked, ever since I was a child.
Used to try wearing a shirt in the very coldest weather, but it was never very comfortable.
Now I have a lovely warm DP to cuddle up to :)

gamerchick · 22/01/2015 20:21

It's those documentaries man I've had to stop watching them. The one with the not putting the lid down when flushing hurt my head and the one of taking a newspaper in the bog to read and then watching how fecal matter is spread around the house.

No it won't kill you but in my head it's grim and I'd rather not ta. Grin

Waitingonasunnyday · 22/01/2015 20:23

We were burgled, actually I would quite like to put the burglars through the trauma of seeing me naked! They were horrible teenagers and I can imagine they'd be horrified of middle aged cellulite and sagginess.

ShakesBootyFlabWobbles · 22/01/2015 20:25

YANBU, I only put PJs on to go downstairs and eat breakfast.

GlitzAndGigglesx · 22/01/2015 20:28

I'm too cold at night to sleep naked! And my boobs are sore atm so need them kept still lol

mygrandchildrenrock · 22/01/2015 20:36

I always slept naked until we came home after living in the tropics for a number of years. Now I'm just too cold to be naked, sometimes my hands are too cold to hold the book I'm reading. I just think I have become very nesh!

CalicoBlue · 22/01/2015 20:47

chicken YANBU if it is in the privacy of your bed.

I hate wearing anything in bed, the only time I do is in other people's houses.

Brummiegirl15 · 22/01/2015 20:49

Oh my life we sleep naked every night. I only wear pants if time of month.

I do however wear pjs in other people's houses and I'm so uncomfortable!

hotcupofjoe · 22/01/2015 20:53

gamerchick But all the same stuff you're so horrified about is still happening, just inside your pyjamas, where it's all contained so that you can be damn sure you're rolling around in it. Or is that OK because you'll put on clean PJs every single night and shower every morning, and presumably sterilise yourself and your partner before and after sex?

DakotaFanny · 22/01/2015 20:57

I have bad dreams when I sleep naked, which is a shame because it is more comfortable.....probably linked to the burglar thing- don't want the feckers standing over me giggling at my arse!!

RiverTam · 22/01/2015 20:57

brrrrrrrrrrrrrr! I only sleep naked at the high of summer when it's absolutely too hot to wear anything at all. At the mo I'm in a long-sleeved pyjama top and knickers, under a 13 tog duvet and a blanket, windows firmly closed.

Not keen on pyjama bottoms, only wear those if it's really really cold.

I like my legs and especially my feet to be cold (sleep with my feet out of bed mostly) but don't like my arms or back to be cold.

gamerchick · 22/01/2015 21:00

That's right. . Although a shower before sec is good enough Wink

I'm not horrified.. nothing will ever beat the adult who lived with her parents and they all shared bath water. The dad going first and her last. Sleeping naked pales into the shadows after that.

OmnipotentQueenOfTheUniverse · 22/01/2015 21:02

Rarely worn clothes in bed since I moved out of home 20 years ago. Really don't like it, feels all constricting and cumbersome and horrible. Do don knickers with something to catch leaks when periodical.

DH used to wear pants but not since he met me Grin

The problem - well it's not a huge problem - but the kids follow suit and are always wandering around arse naked and I'm trying to explain that downstairs you need at least knickers. I think we've let it all hang out a bit too much and accidentally become a bit of a nudey household. Never mind eh Grin at least they won't inherit any body hang-ups from us!

amothersplaceisinthewrong · 22/01/2015 21:05

Both DH and I sleep naked unless it is really cold. Have done so for 29 years. We had a lock on our bedroom door too so the kids could not wander in.

LadyFlumpalot · 22/01/2015 21:07

I sleep naked and with the window open for fresh air. The answer is a hot water bottle and a fake fur throw. There is something even more snugly about being warm in a cold room.

SuggestmeaUsername · 22/01/2015 21:12

brrrr too cold!

DurhamDurham · 22/01/2015 21:19

I agree that a bed seems even more cosy once you have got snuggled in if the bedroom is cold. I never ever sleep with the heating on, our house has to be cold before any of us can sleep. Makes it a nightmare to stay in any hotel room, they seem to ramp the heating right up.

OmnipotentQueenOfTheUniverse · 22/01/2015 21:22

Yes Lady I agree Smile

I also am someone who overheats quite easily - I'm one of those radiator people - so that might explain part of it!

Pipbin · 22/01/2015 21:48

Always in the nip here unless it's period week. PJs are for wearing round the house or when staying at other people's houses. I'm not sure why I don't like it.
Oh and windows open with 9.5 tog duvet max (and a cat).
