I've just come home to find my DH and his two friends huddled around the cat blowing spliff smoke in his face. I gave him his marching orders and told him not to come back. He knows not to smoke in the house, I think he was showing off. Am I being unreasonable not to let him back home?

He could fuck the fuckity fuck off and not darken my door ever again. Can't abide animal cruelty. Arsewipe.

Ok so you are unhappy with him blowing weed smoke at the cats face if this even happened but the fact a grown man is sat around smoking weed with his pals of a Saturday evening is fine and dandy? because lets be honest it actually really really DID happen

The pot wouldn't bother me one jot, the cat though is pretty much a deal breaker

How old is he? 17? What a twat, that's tantamount to animal abuse.

It's good to see people have such high standards having no problem with their husband and mates sat round like overgrown Kevin and perry types getting stoned in the house their kids live....seems I've missed a trick in the values I look for

I'm not so bothered about the weed smoking as he doesn't smoke it often at all, however my concern and anger was him blowing the smoke in the cats face. I will be having serious words with him tomorrow and make it very clear that it was unacceptable behaviour.

Of course the cat is chilling, he's probably fucking stoned!

If you accept this behaviour, you're a mug.

Aren't you concerned what problems people smoking weed in your home can bring? Not least the police to your door?

Smoking weed in my house at all would make me see red.

I would make it clear that "Bob Marley" was no longer welcome as far as I was concerned as he is obviously a bad influence.

Deliberately blowing it directly into the cat's face is disgraceful. Just how far would they have gone on with their cruelty if you hadn't got back when you did?!

I would be spelling it all out to him in no uncertain terms tomorrow.

I'm really worried now, my friend has just messaged me back saying that if a cat gets stoned they stay stoned forever?

Smoking weed = no biggie. Blowing smoke on the cat is fucking inexcusable.

You absolutely SHOULD be bothered about him smoking weed.

Your children weren't present this time, but that doesn't mean they never will be. He needs to leave it alone completely. You risk a visit from the police, and if that happens social services would probably also become involved because of the children.

Wait a minute... did I read that right? It is your first weekend together without the dc because they've gone to their grandparents and he decided the best use of that time was to invite his mates round to smoke weed? You've got bigger problems.

Cat will not stay stoned forever. Bollocks. It would, however, take much less to have a very toxic effect than it would for humans I should think. If worried you may need to contact the ve.

Topsey give it a rest. Nobody gets a visit from the police and social services for smoking a bit of weed at home.

some social workers even smoke it at home

My cat used to hang out with us when we were smoking weed as students. I did feel a bit guilty about it but it was kind of normal. She might have got stoned but she definitely got over it.
