My DS is working today in retail , so FlowerFairy can spend her loadsamoney.

SageYourResoluteOracle · 27/12/2014 13:36

I ran yesterday, does that count?? Only got out of bed at noon and now cosied up on sofa with DD (3.5) watching 'Santa Paws', both of us in onesies. DH has rather valiantly headed out for bread, milk etc but I ain't budging!!

And I think I might be slightly addicted to MN, dull at the moment or not!

FlowerFairy2014 · 27/12/2014 13:39

That's the irony - if you work very hard you tend to save money not spend it. It's win win for women who work very hard and work full time.

You work 365 days a year?

Well done you.

ouryve · 27/12/2014 13:44

I do trust, of course, that FlowerFairy has good enough private health insurance for the day when their heart gives out from working so hard, so they don't become a net taker from the NHS, at that point.

Bogeyface · 27/12/2014 13:53

I went out for a walk once. It was shit.

This

RoastingYourChestnutsHurtsAlot · 27/12/2014 13:53

I walked today. I fell. Now trying to work out if I've broken my ankle or not and umming and ahing about seeking medical attention as I can't flex my foot

Walking is bad

Biscetti · 27/12/2014 13:57

Been for a long walk with the dawg. Dawg saw ducks. Dawg jumped in. Stooooopid dawg. Pissed off there is no snow here too. But, and it's a good but, I now have a large G&T and am firmly attached to the sofa.

Mutters do you gave an Apple Store nearby! When DS's iPad stopped charging, I took it into the Apple Store (you have to make an appointment in advance using the Apple.com uk website, go to support, then instore) and I walked out with a brand new iPad 2.

They have wonderful customer service.

ChestyNutRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 27/12/2014 14:03

roasting is there a Minor Injuries you could go to?

GingerSkin · 27/12/2014 14:04

I was out the front in my pj bottoms, hoodie, coat and dp's hat chasing dd (3) around like a loon trying to burn her out I spun her around and we both fell over in the snow and giggled. I thought I'd exerted myself but then decided to go to the gym Hmm

Now I'm fucked.

Dd wants to play dress up / bake cakes with new apron / trains / do jigsaws*

YABU

I can't walk and it's too icy for my wheelchair

Typical mumsnet, trying to get me killed Wink Grin

MinesAPintOfTea · 27/12/2014 14:06

I'm considering a run. However DS is napping and DH is doing jobs in the garden so someone has to watch the fire in case of toddler-waking.

Very busy ordering curtain fabric atm as I won't have time when I go back to work next week.

I will run later and DH had best whizz up a hot chocolate the second I collapse back through the door

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 27/12/2014 14:07

My dog died three weeks ago. I don't want to go out for a walk without him.

WankingInAWinterWonderland · 27/12/2014 14:07

I walked yesterday, it was cold and I almost fell on ice. Its dangerous walking.

HenriettaTurkey · 27/12/2014 14:08

Yanbu. I am trying to encourage DH, DS, dm & df to head out for a snowy walk so I can sit at home & relax! (Have SPD otherwise I'd be out there - blue sky & snow & countryside what's not to love?!)

Dm is still in her dressing gown. It's not looking hopeful.

PollyIndia · 27/12/2014 14:09

Been for a lovely walk already today thanks, with 2 year old DS. Also been for a 5km run before he woke up and done 40 mins of yoga and now on mumsnet while DS sleeps and I wait for my sister and her family to arrive for Xmas part 2. Just lining my stomach with a turkey sandwich and some Florentines. Xmas Smile

PollyIndia · 27/12/2014 14:09

No snow here though - lovely sunny day in south Wales. I would have liked snow.

Germgirl · 27/12/2014 14:16

dita I bought that specifically for the glittery poo that I was assured would happen afterwards. I've not drunk it yet but I'm looking forward to it very much :)
As for walking. I've walked from the car to my workplace & later on I'll walk back to the car. That'll do for today.

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 27/12/2014 14:16

Dear god polly im exhausted just reading that Xmas Shock

Ive been to the stables this morning, fed and mucked out 2 horses and will do it all again in a couple of hours.

Im 28 weeks pregnant so thats my excuse for sitting on the sofa, watching tv and eating chocolate.

TheGrinchWearsStripes · 27/12/2014 14:21

No walk here. First day of potty training for the toddler so we are stuck indoors. I am so booooored. Without MN I would be a dribbling wreck on the floor, and it's only 2.30!

I was out first thing this morning taking the dog for a walk. I will be taking him out for another walk in half an hour or so and will likely end up taking him for a third walk tonight. I think I am doing my fair share of walks. Grin
