Salted Caramel and pulled pork.

Delicious but everywhere.

Anything to add?

OP posts:

I've been eating them for years - it's the folk that 'discovered' them after the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony that have made them a cliché!

ChippyMinton · 26/12/2014 22:53

Sorry, not a cliché. They are 'iconic'. Apparently Hmm

ChippyMinton · 26/12/2014 22:54

And the jam jars cost more than drinking glasses. The ones with lids with a hole in to take a paper drinking straw? That'll be a fiver please.

QueenInTheNorth · 26/12/2014 23:03

Fancy burgers! I mean, I love them but jesus, have we not run out of things to put in a burger yet?

knackered69 · 26/12/2014 23:10

thenightsky am agog - why would anyone want their food served on a slate!? Just - why? Grin

avocadotoast · 26/12/2014 23:11

"Street food". Just get a hot dog from a greasy van and shut up about it. People trying to pass themselves off as "authentic street food traders".

ChippyMinton · 26/12/2014 23:14

savoury lollipops (previously known as 'on a cocktail stick')
runny scotch eggs
whole iberico ham
handcrafted or posh anything

(and that's just M&S party food lol)

KnackeredMerrily · 26/12/2014 23:15

Hot rock steaks.

If I wanted to cook my own dinner I'd eat at home for fuck's sake.

IWannaHoldYourHand · 26/12/2014 23:21

Clean eating.

Huge weird burgers. There is a reason peanut butter and jam are not usually on a burger.

Imported sweets.

QuickSilverFairy · 26/12/2014 23:22

Pumpkin Spice anything..I do NOT want it in my coffee, on my bun, in my beer, on my pretzels.. ENOUGH!

iklboo · 26/12/2014 23:27

Is that the near £400 iberico ham from M&S? I was very Shock when I saw that.

threepiecesuite · 26/12/2014 23:32

Churros

ChippyMinton · 26/12/2014 23:33

YUP. Lidl had one for 1/10 of the price. Should you require an entire ham for your party.

LonnyVonnyWilsonFrickett · 26/12/2014 23:34

Street food
Burgers
Paelo/clean eating.

All dead in the water.

ChippyMinton · 26/12/2014 23:35

Messed-about-with profiteroles.

pan fried... where else would you fry food if not in a pan? I don't get it "

In a deep fat fryer, there don't seem to be many of us that remember these!

Nagasaki · 26/12/2014 23:36

Burgers or steaks served on wooden chopping boards. Obligatory knife jammed in the wood.

Just breeding grounds for germs. BOKE.

Stealthpolarbear · 26/12/2014 23:37

Having a 'shot' (or a double shot) off something non alcoholic in your skinny soy latte. Ten years ago shots were vodka etc, not salted vanilla coco bean

Chuffingelves01 · 26/12/2014 23:43

I'm with you about the burgers. We went out for lunch on Sunday and ds1 had a 'yee haw' burger which was a 1/4 pounder, salad, pulled pork, chilli and sour cream ???? You couldn't taste anything individually it was vile.

Oh and people putting the shit smears in their plates that they do masterchef - the problem is i see this in my Facebook done with ketchup next to their fish fingers stacked on top of micowave chips.

lollygagger · 27/12/2014 00:17

yy to serving on slates and other poncy receptacles. We went to the filling station for a quick pre theatre meal and the tiny skewers I ordered came on a gigantic piece of slate set in an oak board. The poor girl just about fainted with the effort of carrying it, and we were sat right next to the kitchen. It also had a bucket of chips on said slate.

Also, paper napkins under plates in cafés. Wtf, it's a waste of a napkin! I wanted use it to wipe my hands and face but if you put a sticky piece of cake on it it's useless and you get bits of napkin on the fucking cake. Why?! Why for the love of Verna?

Happylandpirate · 27/12/2014 00:24

Anything served "3 ways"!!! Cauliflower seemed massive this year and "sliders"!!

CointreauVersial · 27/12/2014 00:49

YY to "dirty" burgers - usually impossible to eat properly.

And sweet & salt popcorn.

And popping candy in everything.

FrogIsATwatInASantaHat · 27/12/2014 03:07

Chicken and chorizo
I like chicken
I like chorizo
Not together. In everything from pasta to sandwiches..

Buttercupsanddaisys · 27/12/2014 04:43

Fusion foods

Anything cooked with a 'twist'

Artisan bread

HellKitty · 27/12/2014 07:09

I always think that artisan bread just means you pay more as the baker doesn't wash his hands first.
