Looking through some photos on fb an dh says god you look beautiful in this picture it doesn't even look like you.....speechless aibu to think bloody cheeky bugger.

Oh and he asks me every so often "Have you had your hair done?" on the off chance that he might get it right.

When my husband and I first starting seeing each other and he lovingly gazed into my eyes and said "Do you know who you really look like...? Alan Hansen"
I'd hoped he'd say an actress, singer perhaps. At the very least someone the same gender as me..!

I posted an opinion, no one forced me to, and no-one has to take any notice then.

Tinks It's not a nasty comment we're all talking about, it's a well intended compliment that came out a disaster and ended with them back peddling or putting their foot in their mouth. No one would be laughing if their DP's were seriously cutting them down.

DH was feeling insecure about his looks, which really he shouldn't he's a great looking guy. I was trying to be a smart ass and told him he looked great and that "I'm certainly not using your for you personality, that's for sure!" when really I meant, he was attractive and if I wasn't attracted to his personality first and foremost I'd still be attracted to him on a physical level. It was suppose to be a clever, "I'm using you for sex" play on words, but it came out pretty bad.

Anyway, that's what we're talking about. Not deliberate back handed compliments meant to hurt.

You take it your way, which is fine by me. The poster didnt back up the mean comment by saying he was lovely to her did she.
