How did people get through life before mumsnet! You know that you don't have to consult Mumsnet over every little thing in your life Xmas Smile. Examples include: i told a boy not to hit my ds in softplay AIBU, AIBU to refuse a tradesperson to use my toilet, omg a stranger ruffled my toddlers hair and I am bricking myself!

I was trying to defend myself against the attacks, Alice, it was not in my op!

It was getting a bit heated so yes I clumsily used that word in my subsequent posts, but my op, did not state that.

I didn't say that you had stated it in your op (opening post).

I called you OP, as in Original Poster, so perhaps that's where you have confused yourself.

But I wouldn't call those initial replies to you "attacks" or "heated" either. You'd only had eight replies when you said you were moaning, and a couple of those were agreeing with you.

Other people disagreed with you fairly mildly and in your reply to them you said you were just having a moan.

Fair enough, but if you say you are moaning you can't then go on to say you were being lighthearted and not expect people to be confused about your intentions or use their own judgement to make their minds up.

I think some people are over analysing this thread and have made something it is not, that is what I have issue with.

It was merely meant to be what I have observed on AIBU, now has turned into something not very nice.

I just think that there are people on Mumsnet who will find offence in anything. If I had started an AIBU about not liking Spaghetti Bolognaise, I am sure that someone would have found that offensive.

Thanks Altinkum Xmas Smile, how is your ds btw, I know you mentioned in your threads that he has sn? Did you sort that issue out with the Facebook seller about your sweetie tree? They look lovely btw Xmas Smile

I personally love Mumsnet, it has gotten me through some really bad times, and yes its really comforting to know there are people out there who care, even at 2am in the morning. Yes I post a lot, it keeps me sane Xmas Smile
