How did people get through life before mumsnet! You know that you don't have to consult Mumsnet over every little thing in your life Xmas Smile. Examples include: i told a boy not to hit my ds in softplay AIBU, AIBU to refuse a tradesperson to use my toilet, omg a stranger ruffled my toddlers hair and I am bricking myself!

It was in reference to your last 2 lines, of your last post.

Yes I love mumsnet, I have a dd7 with ASD and dev delays and Mumsnetters were very supportive when we had concerns right throught to dx. Ds nearly 3 has a severe speech delay so it is great to have the advice there on mumsnet, I a, not doubting that.

Because it is the fount of all knowledge Smile

Writerwannabe83 · 17/12/2014 15:07

We are just really, really nosy and love the nitty gritty of other people's non-dramas Grin

Everyone loves a good debate about stuff that doesn't really matter Grin

ghostyslovesheep · 17/12/2014 15:08

The ones that make me roll my eyes are the ones where no one could possibly say YABU ...so attention seeking

Eg a man just shot me AIBU to be upset

SwearySwearyQuiteContrary · 17/12/2014 15:08

Because if your BFF is on the phone and your Mum is at work, it's quite nice to have a huge group of knowledgeable people on the other end of a keyboard! Didn't realise there was a "worthiness" or "level of interest" test to MN posts. Just as well, really.

NamesNick · 17/12/2014 15:11

because it's the law

isn't it?

Aeroflotgirl · 17/12/2014 15:12

Either must be Xmas Smile

Och, OP, sometimes the minutiae of other people's lives seems so trivial compared to what you're going through. It probably is trivial in the grander scheme of things, it's still important to the poster. Hope you and yours are doing well this Christmas. Smile

This thread is meant to be lughthearted does everybody have to find offence in everything!

You didn't put lighthearted in the title. You've created your own rod. Grin

MonstrousRatbag · 17/12/2014 15:14

Well thank heavens they do, or I might actually have to do some work.

Aeroflotgirl · 17/12/2014 15:14

It is interesting reading about people's lives, but there are threads that make your eyes roll and thinking yes yabvvvvvvu to not let your ds jump in puddles as he might get his feet wet Xmas Grin

OP posts:
ghostyslovesheep · 17/12/2014 15:14

Yes mm law states you must SAY its lighthearted in the title

Aeroflotgirl · 17/12/2014 15:15

Bulb next time I should or we will get all the party poopers Xmas Grin

OP posts:
SwearySwearyQuiteContrary · 17/12/2014 15:15

But once he's jumped in one puddle, the damage is done so he might as well keep going!

Aeroflotgirl · 17/12/2014 15:16

Mumsnet HQ [shouts very loadly] please put lighthearted in this title!

OP posts:
SwearySwearyQuiteContrary · 17/12/2014 15:17

Posters that need "lighthearted" spelling out on a thread are the posters that should be ignored from the outset.

SwearySwearyQuiteContrary · 17/12/2014 15:18

BTW, why are you Aeroflotgirl?

Viviennemary · 17/12/2014 15:20

Well if they didn't what would some people like me have to do all day. But answer those questions. Grin

PlumpingUpPartridge · 17/12/2014 15:24

Honestly? I get lonely - work is always very quiet and I am a chatty person. There's usually someone about on here for a bit of a craic Grin

Aeroflotgirl · 17/12/2014 15:25

Sweary can't anyone be humerous do you need it spelling out to you! By accusing me of making people feel bad which was not my intention, you are doing that to me for doing nothing really.Geese are Mumsnetters not all, devoid of any humour do we all have to take ourself seriously. Here have some Cake and Wine or Brew

OP posts:
Aeroflotgirl · 17/12/2014 15:26
