Just browsing through my Facebook and This is what someone said during a argument with a group of people.

One of the best and worst things about MN is the ability to name change. People do it, sometimes for good reason, but often just to be a bit of a dick to other posters.

The rampant feminism and often ridiculous "is he controlling and abusive in other ways", "LTB" and "I find that all men manchild- blah blah do make it seem quite a tough place and one easily looked down on. Also quite confusing for those who have only had good experience in life and with men.

There's some good advice to be had but it certainly isn't accepting and the anonymity destroys any chance of a community feel. My "hobby" forum has little to no anonymity and people frequently 'out themselves' and many know each other in real life.

Mumsnet pencil anyone?

The worst thing is trolls and zombie threads.

SumThucker · 15/05/2017 12:52

Yes Sparkling.

c3pu · 15/05/2017 12:55

Bunch of illiterate harridans, I thought? LOL

Willow2017 · 15/05/2017 12:55

OFFS!
user94567433 Why?

Another Zombie. Send for Daryl Grin

caz323 · 15/05/2017 12:57

Good grief! What is it with all these zombie threads lately? Annoying.

Flipping zombie!

Always gets me Confused

Sparklingbrook · 15/05/2017 13:01

Why are you bumping all these old threads user94567433? Genuine question.

CoffeeWithMyOxygen · 15/05/2017 13:02

See, that's the difference right there - I bet if this happened on NM the response would be more 'Aww, thx for finding this old gem for me, Hun! U r a Star xx'. Whereas here it's very much another cunting zombie thread.

Sparklingbrook · 15/05/2017 13:04

Yes indeed 'another cunting zombie thread'. Sums it up nicely.

I like that MN isn't NM.

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 15/05/2017 13:04

It's just another type of trolling, isn't it - spamming up the boards with dead threads.

Maudlinmaud · 15/05/2017 13:06

I like the pencils. Trying not to be vile.

user94567433 · 15/05/2017 13:07

Yet so easy for MNHQ to lock down. I wonder why they don't? Confused

Sparklingbrook · 15/05/2017 13:08

I wish they would. Why are you bumping them?

Maudlinmaud · 15/05/2017 13:09

User94567433 why are you doing this? Can you not just engage on a regular thread.

BoysofMelody · 15/05/2017 13:10

I've never understood Mumsnet users aversion to people reviving old general discussion threads. I can see the point if the post is 'What should I cook for tea tonight?' dating from 2009. On threads like this the topic is still pertinent, so why does it matter if it is a so called zombie thread?

Sparklingbrook · 15/05/2017 13:11

There have been many, many threads in Site Stuff explaining the problems caused by Zombie threads on MN.

user94567433 · 15/05/2017 13:11

I don't get it either Boys.

caz323 · 15/05/2017 13:11

is it the same user? Bloody well spotted if you're right.
