Lweji · 11/12/2014 19:36

Why would anyone hide AIBU? Xmas Shock

TheGrinchWearsStripes · 11/12/2014 19:41

I am Furrin so I think that means I am not allowed to be anything in the class system.
If someone said I was as vile as MN though, I would be thrilled at the compliment.

Lweji · 11/12/2014 19:45

I'm classy, and that is enough.
Cake

Mammanat222 · 11/12/2014 19:55

I'm only a member here as MN seems to be universally hated on another (general interest) website I frequent.

For years I'd hear comments about MN - usually derogatory - eventually I came for a gander and loved the place. So much so I barely go on the other website.

I like that this place is so fast moving and that people don't always agree with each other. I like that you can rant and rave and swear

I guess as a Mum myself now I have a lot more in common with people here?

NoArmaniNoPunani · 11/12/2014 19:55

We do have a reputation. I never admit to being a MNer

Sparklingbrook · 11/12/2014 20:06

I have AIBU topic hidden Lweji. It's great. I occasionally will look in 'Most Active' and find an AIBU thread (like this one) but on the whole I don't see a lot of them.

Try it. Honestly, it's soo much better.

Lweji · 11/12/2014 20:12

Never, Sparkling. Grin
But then I'm mostly in Relationships, and occasionally Chat or AIBU. AIBU can be light relief from the Relationships heavy stuff.

ILovePud · 11/12/2014 20:20

Some of the posts/posters can be vile but most try to be helpful and supportive. I like some of the arguments too! The Daily Mail thinks Mumsnet is vile but I'd take that as a compliment.

Sparklingbrook · 11/12/2014 20:33

I have Relationships well and truly hidden Lewji Grin, along with bajillions of other topics.
I have a sort of 'Mumsnet Lite' going on. Grin

MunningCockery · 11/12/2014 20:41

Usual Well my only reply to that is that CLEARLY you simply do NOT belong here

Yeah, you'd probably be better off with the huns huh? Xmas Wink

Oh, and BTW, from your posts across MN???? ALL I can say is you re clearly a vicious and vile cunt. Grin

outrageous language for our delicate MC readers I know, my bad...

MissHobart · 11/12/2014 21:04

I fucking love mumsnet! Grin

Brummiegirl15 · 11/12/2014 21:08

Sometimes I find MN can be a bit harsh - but I've been on the TTC after mc and genuinely some of the kindest people ever on those threads which in my darkest days have been incredible.

That said, I love how refreshing mn is, love the swearing and can't bear the "Huns" somewhere else

usualsuspectsparkly3 · 11/12/2014 21:41

I think MN needs a bit of hunning, sometimes.

DustBunnyFarmer · 11/12/2014 23:49

Netmums has its uses. Whenever I've flogged stuff through their nearly new bit, its shifted really quickly.

Tobyjugg · 11/12/2014 23:59

One man's "vile" is another man's "honest" (and as a bloke I mean "man" before you all start getting vile with me).

Philoslothy · 12/12/2014 00:02

As a family we are going through thr toughest few weeks/ months of our lives.
I have been amazed at how supportive some posters have been to a complete stranger. At the same time I have also been amazed at the unpleasantness of some other posters, they are a minority though. Just as in real life I guess, some people sense that you are at your lowest and go in for the kill.

user94567433 · 15/05/2017 12:32

I'm not vile, I'm just evil

I see what you did there Grin.

Jaaaaaaam · 15/05/2017 12:37

ZOMBIE ZOMBIE ZOMBIE ZOMBIE ZOMBIE

LittlePeonie · 15/05/2017 12:38

I guess its meant to be a light-hearted thread Confused.

But amongtst the genuine posters, fun and occasional gold nuggets, I find some really nasty, vile posters and plenty of really stupid posters.

Also rather self-regarding ones Hmm.

SumThucker · 15/05/2017 12:41

Zombie threads and troll hunting threads. Eee bye gum.

toomuchtooold · 15/05/2017 12:42

AIBU is a bit tough, but I know some great people from Mumsnet. TBH in my circle of friends it's more looked down on as if there was something sort of trivial and uncool about being a mum, and talking to other mums.
Fuck. Right. Off.

toomuchtooold · 15/05/2017 12:43

Gaaaargh FML it's a zombie.

IloveBanff · 15/05/2017 12:44

user94567433 Why on earth did you find and resurrect this ZOMBIE?

MaidenMotherCrone · 15/05/2017 12:47

Middle Class? Are we supposed to all be middle class?

Christ on a bike I had no idea I've been putting myself at risk of catching the naice.

I get it now, that's why the Op on the thread about buying an ex council house referred to herself as 'one' as in ' if one was to buy an ex council house'.

I apologise for not knowing my place. I'll leave the site now and sit on my sofa in the front garden drinking beer.

Sparklingbrook · 15/05/2017 12:50

How many more ZOMBIE threads are going to be reanimated today? Hmm
