to wonder how all those who voted Lib Dem in 2010 are going to vote in the 2015 GE?

Curious to know if the Lib Dem vote will collapse as predicted or not.

If you don't want to say which party you are going to vote for instead of the Lib Dems, please can you just say "yes" or "no" as to whether you will be voting for the Lib Dems again, "yes" meaning you are going to vote Lib Dems again and "no" meaning you aren't.

In my case, I voted Lib Dems and I will be voting either Labour or Green in 2015.

No. Don't know who to vote for next year, not Tory or Lib Dem though. So probably Labour although I don't like them either.

LapsedTwentysomething · 28/11/2014 18:57

Thanks to our ridiculous MP, our staunchly Lib Dem constituency went Tory. I'll be voting Green. I couldn't vote for Ed Milliband.

Nonie241419 · 28/11/2014 19:02

FluffyMcNuffy-I don't know what's gone on in Brighton. Something bad with the Greens?

littledonkeysaurus · 28/11/2014 19:03

Great post, Snape.

PassTheAnswers · 28/11/2014 19:05

Labour as they are the only way of getting Tory out of our area.

MrsHathaway · 28/11/2014 19:06

No I won't.

Fucked if I know who I will vote for, though.

bumasbigasthetv · 28/11/2014 19:07

Won't be voting lib dem this time, bot sure who, although it most definately won't be ukip

JazzAnnNonMouse · 28/11/2014 19:09

Greens

OhYouBadBadKitten · 28/11/2014 19:11

Green as long as they have a candidate. Vaguely wondered if I should stand as a green myself just so I've got someone to vote for.

Gawjushun · 28/11/2014 19:13

Voted LD in 2010 because I was a uni student at the time, and felt strongly that future students shouldn't have the same loan burden. Well, that all went to shit. I have no idea who to vote for this time. I suppose labour are closest to my beliefs, but I remember the massive anti-war protests when Tony Blair was in office, and how I vowed never to vote for them after he basically ignored public opinion. I find Milliband unbearable, although maybe the best of a bad bunch.

Tobyjugg · 28/11/2014 19:14

Fluffy What in particular are you referring to?

TimeForAnotherNameChange · 28/11/2014 19:14

I voted Lib Dem last time but think Clegg has set them back another generation after his u-turns in coalition. I could cheerfully throttle the man. They had a real chance to firmly establish a three party system, instead we're stuck with a Con-Lab dichotomy for anther 25 years.

I'll have to vote labour but it's pointless really, it's a true blue tory haven round these parts.

wincy · 28/11/2014 19:15

Voted Lib Dem last time and probably will next time. Prefer most of their policies and even in coalition have managed to get a number through.
What I really want is electoral change so that every vote counts, until that time tactical voting is the only (poor) alternative. I've considered voting Green but really don't like the fact that they campaigned for the break up of the UK.
Labour and the Tories want to retain the current voting system so they are both a waste of space.

babyfedleaning · 28/11/2014 19:16

In my constituency (traditional rural Tory seat), I am facing the predicament that my only options are to vote Tory or not at all. Labour never features here. I have only ever voted Lib Dem but it seems utterly pointless to do so again. There is visible and growing support by a significant proportion of the traditionally Tory voters for stupid ill-informed UKIP which frankly terrifies me. I would rather use my vote to vote Tory and prevent risking a UKIP MP here. I can't quite believe it myself. Both my parents were staunch labour supporters and I was brought up to believe the Maggie's Conservative party were the devil incarnate. What a state of affairs.

fluffywhitekittens · 28/11/2014 19:16

Probably yes, possibly independent or Green.

FishWithABicycle · 28/11/2014 19:18

I voted LibDem last time and will vote Green next time. Doesn't make the slightest difference either time. It's a Labour ultra-safe seat.

surprise · 28/11/2014 19:18

Voted Lib Dem to keep the Tories out [sigh]. Will definitely be voting Labour this time.

Can someone do a clicky link for me?

This was one of the less inflammatory articles...

lljkk · 28/11/2014 19:31

I will vote LibDem for sure in 2015. Our LibDem MP is a minister, high profile, I predict he'll be back in no problem. I'd be surprised if DH didn't vote for him again (they swap gardening tips on occasion).

I like the Greens but probably prefer LibDem policies over Greens right now.

FluffyMcnuffy · 28/11/2014 19:32

The Green Party are in minority administration on the council which makes it incredibly difficult for them to get their policies through

Then I dread to think what it would have been like if they'd got more of their policies through!

I agree local councils are often unpopular but I have never seen a council who is as unpopular as the Green Party. Every single person I know who lives in Brighton (and that must be at least 30), are flabbergasted at the mess the leader of the Green Party has made of Brighton.

OftheTwilighttheDarkness · 28/11/2014 19:33

No I bloody well will not.

LittleBallOfFur · 28/11/2014 19:34

Lib dem to green

Another Green here, assuming they field a candidate in my constituency. Although they didn't last time so there's a chance I'll have to spoil my ballot, which would be a shame.
