My best friend who has always been more like family has included 3 other friends of hers in the pics she chose and none of me!

Is she perhaps trying to appease or please/praise some others in the pics? Whereas she doesn't feel she needs to do that with you.

Oh god- I've also has angst over these stupid photos- I did mine, put one with my best friend and I have been really upset because she hasn't even 'liked' it. (This is someone who likes everyone's stupid status' all the time) I'd give up fb if it wasn't for a business I have on there.

We both are being unreasonable, it still hurts though!

Definitely a vanity thing - I've not done my 5 photos after being nominated because the photos on my profile that make me smile are the ones that I look crap in, the nice ones don't seem to have my DH, DSis or my good friends. I wouldn't care if it was one or two but 5 crap photos all together will make me look even worse.

Chipping I use it to keep in touch with friends abroad and in other cities but I NEVER participate in these shit fads...I am participating by default now I am annoyed but ya know....shit happens.

I have got rid of it before, reinstated it recently because I'm a member of groups on there to do with my interests and past-times, and because so mnay of my friends use it as their main form of communication! Also I work online and I like to chat as I work-it's a good medium for that. All in all my life was easier with it than without it.

I rarely put up status or look at anybody else's status, and I haven't bothered with this photo thing either, I couldn't pick just five and I'd be scared of offending someone!

It is funny to look at other people's, though e.g I have a friend who's in love with another friend, everyone knows it and she's in every one of his photos. I did a chuckle at that.

Could you send her a lighthearted text saying why do I not feature in your photos?

Agree that these things can be hurtful and we know we shouldn't get upset but we do, it's human nature.

My best friend recently did it and I actually held my breath when I was looking at her 5 because I was hoping she'd included me, because I knew i'd feel hurt if she hadn't...how sad is that?

ps I'm hurt because no-one has nominated me for the photo thing, how sad is that ! Same thing happened with the water bucket nonsense. I did ask a couple of friends why they hadn't nominated me over that and they just said that they'd assumed that someone else had done.

We are clearly all sad together! Does make me feel a bit better though tbh to know I'm not alone.
