I know there is pedants corner but I was wondering if there was anywhere where like minded people who want to complain about words like amazeballs, and other grumpy things can go and be grumpy without being told to get a life?

It was a venue party so sandwiches/sausage rolls etc not easily set out. And I really wouldn't have minded sending him with a packed lunch - I put a drink in his bag. I just don't get it.

That said, I still have very little children, so they don't do well with flexible meal times or picking bits and bobs at odd times. Maybe my mealtimes will be less rigid when my youngest is seven.

Stressing about the party food is one of the necessary burdens of hosting.

Can I tell you what is making me and my DD grumpy?

I now have a DAB radio in the car and one of the things I love about it is that the screen will tell you what song is playing.

So it might say "Your Song by Elton John"

Great. Everyone is happy.

Apart from one station -yes Absolute, I'm looking at you - that puts "Elton John with Your Song".

Oh my goodness it grates my tits off that does Angry

It confuses the hell out of me -especially as I've not really heard of most modern pop combos being ancient and its hard to know what's the the title or the group. eg

should it be 5 Seconds of Summer with Out of My Limit
or 5 Seconds of Summer by Out of My Limit

Grrrr!

Oh, people... fantastic grumpy thread about the input schools expect from parents currently running. I'm loving it (and necking gin!)

So what happened? Is everyone suddenly full of Christmas cheer? I'm not.
