to think that a softplay is not 'proudly serving Starbucks Coffee' if they are in fact using a can of squirty UHT cream?

When you pay Starbucks prices for roadside caf' quality....it rankles a bit.

  1. They probably mean the coffee beans, not the recipes.
  2. Starbucks use squirty cream too.
YonicScrewdriver · 30/10/2014 17:07

Yy Starbucks use squinty cream.

Do they ask your name for the full Starbucks nosey Parker experience?

TheLostPelvicFloorOfPoosh · 30/10/2014 17:09

Starbucks cream is whisked by fairy unicorns galloping around a bowl with their horns in the cream, isn't it?

YonicScrewdriver · 30/10/2014 17:11

Is that tax deductible fairy unicorns?

Grin
lougle · 30/10/2014 17:13

They don't use squirty cream. They use real cream in a whipping cannister. Thick, real cream.

The softplay used UHT squirty cream. Thin, UHT cream. Not the same thing at all.

Lol at "squinty cream" Grin

NewEraNewMindset · 30/10/2014 17:16

Weird thread. I prefer Costa.

HowlCapone · 30/10/2014 17:16

They said they were serving Starbucks coffee, not Starbucks cream.

lougle · 30/10/2014 17:17

It is a big issue!

If I'm paying 40p for 'whipped cream', I don't expect to be given a measly squirt of UHT cream that dissolves on contact.

OP posts:
lougle · 30/10/2014 17:18

HowlCapone - They use a Starbucks price list with 'whipped cream' listed as 40p. Just the same as a normal Starbucks coffee shop.

PancakesAndMapleSyrup · 30/10/2014 17:23

Starbucks is substandard. Costa is the way forward!

YonicScrewdriver · 30/10/2014 17:26

But Starbucks prices aren't that different to other coffee prices, are they?

Purplepoodle · 30/10/2014 17:27

They are serving Starbucks coffee - they don't say anything about Starbucks whipped cream

Scholes34 · 30/10/2014 17:28

I'm with NewEra and Pancakes and would be happy, and proud, to avoid the Starbucks coffee, with or without the squirty cream and wait until I find the nearest available Costa.

googoodolly · 30/10/2014 17:29

Starbucks don't charge extra for cream though Confused

TheLostPelvicFloorOfPoosh · 30/10/2014 17:30

Costa is clearly superior to Starbucks in so many ways, but unfortunately, Costa do not make pumpkin spice latte. Starbucks wins.

Plus, Costa pay their taxes and so cannot afford fairy unicorns.

Costa is much nicer. But the softplay we went to serve Starbucks.

OP posts:
YonicScrewdriver · 30/10/2014 17:38

I don't think it's relevant whether costa or Starbucks is better (to which the answer is Nero) as the OP was a captive audience at soft play.

YonicScrewdriver · 30/10/2014 17:38

X post!

grocklebox · 30/10/2014 17:38

Anyone who puts whipped cream of any type on coffee deserves to be overcharged for it. Revolting.

Carrierpenguin · 30/10/2014 17:40

Starbucks are tax evading shit coffee.

Costa Coffee is much nicer.

lougle · 30/10/2014 17:45

I'm with you, Carrierpenguin. However, if I'd gone to the counter and said:

"Please may I have a Costa Iced Latte with caramel syrup and whipped non-UHT cream", I would have left the counter empty handed.
