And keep Mike Read off the top of the charts this weekend?

OddBoots · 22/10/2014 17:37

The Red Cross are involved as that is where the UKIP spokesman said money from the sale would be going.

BBC News link from ouryve

LineRunner · 22/10/2014 17:39

Mike Read was giving some of his profits from the vile record to Ukip, then added he was giving the same amount to the Red Cross. Some wanky Ukip spokesperson now reckons Read's withdrawing of the record will lead to global Ebola or some such crap.

But it transpires the Red Cross wouldn't have taken the thirty pieces of silver anyway.

BuckskinnedAstronaut · 22/10/2014 17:40

Also they are still selling it, whether or not MR has asked them to stop. So still worth shelling out for the competition.

Scarletohello · 22/10/2014 17:40

Cunts, glad the Red Cross said no.

Are there no depths to which this disgusting party won't stoop???

BuckskinnedAstronaut · 22/10/2014 17:41

MSF would be a better charity to give to if one wanted to tackle Ebola anyway, I think, although UKIP would probably have collective apoplexy at the "Sans Frontières" bit.

LineRunner · 22/10/2014 17:42

I guess Mike Read can't tell his record label what to do - but surely he would have known that? Is he now going to blame the label?

LineRunner · 22/10/2014 17:44

Golly yes, the British Red Cross obviously trumps Medecines sans Frontieres in Ukippy Land.

thisusernameisunavailable · 22/10/2014 20:32

Amazing! Just got in, so quick catch up, going to grab something to eat now (not yet eaten today) and I'm starving.

StatisticallyChallenged · 23/10/2014 00:15

UKIP Calypso now showing on no1 on the Amazon MP3 list Sad Angry

UKIP Calypso now showing on no1 on the Amazon MP3 list

Aw what? Thought I read upthread that he'd requested it be pulled from sale?! Sad

StatisticallyChallenged · 23/10/2014 00:24

The record label have refused, according to something on Facebook.

amazon bestsellers

ScreamEggsAndHam · 23/10/2014 00:25

Has he pulled it from sale then? Will keep on tweeting to get Frankie original to no 1 instead of this garbage if not.

StatisticallyChallenged · 23/10/2014 00:32

It has not been pulled, it's still available to purchase. According to the Facebook page they have said they're not pulling it

ScreamEggsAndHam · 23/10/2014 00:41

Oh, read where he said earlier that he was terribly sorry, he didn't mean to be racist and he requested it pulled from sale. Hmm
Will keep tweeting. Posted only one tweet last night and got a couple of people to download original version on the back of it.
Will keep on spreading the word Smile

Castlemilk · 23/10/2014 00:43

LOL at breaking news - 'EBOLA PANDEMIC - ALL MIKE READ'S FAULT'

ArsenicChaseScream · 23/10/2014 01:54

The record label have refused, according to something on Facebook.

How convenient Hmm

OP posts:
Fubsy · 23/10/2014 07:54

Of course they're not going to pull it - this is the best publicity they could have had. I'd rather see Anaconda at no 1 than shite like this.

Not that I've had any idea what was no 1 since about 1995 Grin

thisusernameisunavailable · 23/10/2014 09:19

How convenient Yep, and even better publicity as Fubsy has said!

hazeyjane · 23/10/2014 09:25

Oh no it is number one on Amazon, bollocks.

By the way, some of the reviews on Amazn are bloody brilliant Grin

Numanoid · 23/10/2014 09:32

I just checked, and it's no. 2. No. 1 is a song called All About That Bass by
Meghan Trainor. Hmm

It's embarrassing that it's done so well, apart from being a rubbish song what it represents is utterly vile.

StatisticallyChallenged · 23/10/2014 09:44

At least it's slipped to two. Maybe as well as buying relax it's worth buying some of the other top 10 to stop it being number 1?

thisusernameisunavailable · 23/10/2014 09:46

I have tweeted Mike Read to back Relax for no.1

BuckskinnedAstronaut · 23/10/2014 10:40

I bought the Meghan Trainor track and also the Taylor Swift one that was hovering in third place behind UKIP.

The reviews are indeed marvellous, though.

ArsenicChaseScream · 23/10/2014 13:11

Gah. I think this record co need to explain themselves.

OP posts:
thisusernameisunavailable · 23/10/2014 13:12

Arsenic they did... Its a great song Hmm
