Fantastic News!

It's being reported that MR has asked his record company to withdraw the single from sale

Hope it's right. Just looking at Press Assoc...

Telegraph are reporting the same thing - he's 'sorry' apparently..

ArsenicChaseScream · 22/10/2014 11:00

"I am so sorry that the song unintentionally caused offence. It was never meant to, and I apologise unreservedly," Read said.

Tosser.

Woohoo!! Grin Grin
Now if we can still get Frankie to No1 this weekend just to really rub his nose in it ..

ArsenicChaseScream · 22/10/2014 11:05

I wonder how many other UKIP supporters 'just' simply ignorantly racist not intentionally racist.

ArsenicChaseScream · 22/10/2014 11:16

Depends whether their jobs are at risk Odd

What a spectacular arse this man is.

When I was a kid I went to a summer fete that he was opening. My mate and I went up to get his autograph and he charged us 10p for the photo he signed. Not for charity or anything just him being a moneygrubbing shit.

He also dated my school friend but that delightful little story would get me deleted. Grin

I have invested in Meghan Trainor and Taylor Swift (sitting at #1 and #3 in Amazon downloads) as well just to be on the safe side.

LineRunner · 22/10/2014 12:26

So now he's 'sorry'? How thick is he??

ouryve · 22/10/2014 13:09

ACH. See I was beaten to it by a couple of hours. The perils of posting on a bus

LineRunner · 22/10/2014 13:24

That Ukip spokesperson sounds like a bit of a cunt. Yeah, let's pretend opposing racism is going to make Ebola worse....

Floundering · 22/10/2014 15:51

Hasn't apologised for supporting a bunch of racist, bigoted wankers though has he?

Grin

On the FB page they were asking whether they should stop or push for NO 1 & the general view was lets push on & annoy Farage as much as we can!

LineRunner · 22/10/2014 16:01

Yes, push on! DD is doing her bit at university. She says Mike Read is a dick. Bless her.

ArsenicChaseScream · 22/10/2014 16:05

Daft to stop now.

He hasn't genuinely repented.

OP posts:
LineRunner · 22/10/2014 16:20

And Ukip's accompanying comment was spiteful. If Ukip truly want to donate towards Ebola treatment and prevention, they can give some if the millions they are trousering from the European parliament that they are supposed to despise.

Let's not forget a massive slice of this Ukip dosh is coming from their grouping together with a racist, misogynist holocaust denier.

I loathe Ukip.

OddBoots · 22/10/2014 17:06

The British Red Cross has declined a share in the profits anyway

"We will not be able to accept any money from the proceeds of this single.

As a neutral organisation, we cannot benefit from something which overtly supports one political party.

In addition, the Red Cross has a proud history of helping refugees and asylum seekers who are negatively referred to in the lyrics.

– BRITISH RED CROSS"

ITV news link

LineRunner · 22/10/2014 17:11

I'm happy to give the Red Cross a donation. And buy their Xmas cards etc.

Scarletohello · 22/10/2014 17:35

Sorry why have the Red Cross got involved..?

< Confused >

BuckskinnedAstronaut · 22/10/2014 17:37

Because UKIP apparently said that all proceeds would go to the Red Cross to help fight Ebola.
