I just went to Ds teacher parent consultation & I'm in shock!
It's a great school & on the whole all the other teachers the kids have had have been great, interested & dedicated people.
But this woman is just...dead behind the eyes, monotone, bland ughh
She started off by telling me we couldn't wait for dh because she had to stick strictly to ten minutes then asked me how he'd settled in! then told me everything was fine, he was 'nice' doing fine etc. Said fine about 100 times
She could have been describing anyone & I just find that very odd

YABU to expect her to hang around waiting for your OH. YABU to think there's anything wrong with asking you how your child is settling in.

YANB completely U to think it would have been better if she had something more than "fine" and "nice". It would be much better if she could at least have had some little incident or example to cite, to make it feel more personal. Still, a few weeks is not long to get to know 30-odd children. You say she "could have been describing anyone" but I'm sure there are a few children she wouldn't describe in those words. At least you know he isn't one of them, and had the opportunity to let her know of any problems you were aware of.
