To take the puppy and go to bed?

I am having a shit week. My gallbladder is ruining my life, my boiler broke and the plumber can't come out for weeks, the washing machine is leaking, work is a pita and depressing me as always and to top it off my car engine is now being twatty and playing up.

I am ill, depressed and skint. It's also my birthday tomorrow and dp bought me a gorgeous beagle puppy as a surprise. He wants to go for dinner too. I am not in the mood, plus I can't fucking eat anything due to this bastarding gallbladder, so would be a waste of time, though I am very happy about the puppy. He says I shouldn't be so miserable on my birthday.

Aibuto just want to take the puppy to bed with me and stay there all night?

gaybryne they are not smelly! Angry

Lazy, noisy, hungry, demanding, pawsy, and opinionated but not smelly! unless there is a paticularly spectacully muddy grim smelly pond to be explored

OP ignore the comments up thread about beagles being awful/your DP being irresponsible etc, etc, etc. YY to the posters who celebrate puppies Grin.

Our puppy saved our lives, we bought her when we were in a very hard place health-wise. DH was very ill, my mental health was going haywire because of the stress. She has made everything seem so much better, at first just having something to focus on made things seem easier. When she learnt to do things (like pee outside thank god!) it was a victory to our day and when she did funny things (all the time!) we found ourselves laughing even when things were dire.

Four years later she's my best friend, she's loyal and hard work but life wouldn't be the way it is today if it wasn't for her.

Enjoy your puppy, hard work is part of the fun Grin.

OP do not ignore the posters saying how hard work beagles are.

Do your homework on training. Talk to other beagle owners and ask for tips. Go to puppy class/training.

Read up about them.

It sounds like you and your dp have a lot to learn about beagles and dog ownership in general Hmm
