To take the puppy and go to bed?

I am having a shit week. My gallbladder is ruining my life, my boiler broke and the plumber can't come out for weeks, the washing machine is leaking, work is a pita and depressing me as always and to top it off my car engine is now being twatty and playing up.

I am ill, depressed and skint. It's also my birthday tomorrow and dp bought me a gorgeous beagle puppy as a surprise. He wants to go for dinner too. I am not in the mood, plus I can't fucking eat anything due to this bastarding gallbladder, so would be a waste of time, though I am very happy about the puppy. He says I shouldn't be so miserable on my birthday.

Aibuto just want to take the puppy to bed with me and stay there all night?

Also, if the op isn't beagling us, can someone else post a picture of their kitten maybe? We can all do with a hit of cute.

gentlehoney · 12/10/2014 18:55

Beagles are hard work and need a lot of walking and training but they are also a lot of fun and great companions.

moxon · 12/10/2014 18:55

Oh, also: yanbu. Happy bday and enjoy your bed!

NatJon · 12/10/2014 18:55

And thanks everyone. I'll see if I can get a pic tomorrow, he is currently snoozing on my chest, like a baby.

Fun puppy game: put a couple of treats in the cardboard bit of a toilet roll, fold down the ends, give to puppy to rip to shreds and find treats.

Hey, it's not me saying she can't afford insurance.

It was another poster. I was just saying how this thread will likely turn out, not that they are my views :)

sonjadog · 12/10/2014 19:02

Awww... Which breed is he?

ilovemydoggy · 12/10/2014 19:03

Aww I love beagles. I've got a beagle x. He loves cuddles but can be a little sod at times. Can't wait for picture.

Happy birthday Cake

fizzymittens · 12/10/2014 19:06

Oh God yes! Beagle howling! Grin

sonjadog · 12/10/2014 19:08

The puppy in the photo, not the beagle!

fizzymittens · 12/10/2014 19:09

To be fair to dp we talked a while ago about getting a beagle and forgot about it

Oh.

sonjadog · 12/10/2014 19:13

I used to live in a flat above a beagle (and the beagle's family). My dog was besotted with her. He used to spend the days sitting at the window watching for her to come out. When he saw her, he quivered.

Happy Birthday - it's my birthday too, so we are twinz, innit!

Beagle puppy sounds like a gorjus pressie, but no, you can't go out and leave him. Get a fab takeaway instead.
