To take the puppy and go to bed?

I am having a shit week. My gallbladder is ruining my life, my boiler broke and the plumber can't come out for weeks, the washing machine is leaking, work is a pita and depressing me as always and to top it off my car engine is now being twatty and playing up.

I am ill, depressed and skint. It's also my birthday tomorrow and dp bought me a gorgeous beagle puppy as a surprise. He wants to go for dinner too. I am not in the mood, plus I can't fucking eat anything due to this bastarding gallbladder, so would be a waste of time, though I am very happy about the puppy. He says I shouldn't be so miserable on my birthday.

Aibuto just want to take the puppy to bed with me and stay there all night?

Awww lovely cute pics - but get thee to a training class asap with a beagle pup. Grin

Talizorah - is he a space hamster? Wink

livingzuid · 12/10/2014 20:51

claybury I just melted, what a beauty.

I'll trade you your beagle for an overexcited, stubborn, ratbag of a Jack Russell if you like Grin he's my hero really and a very good dog but the batteries don't ever seem to go flat no matter how many, or long, the walks and he just ate my sour cream and chive dip the sod Here's a pic of him having dead bird smell removed.

No idea why beagles are getting such bad press on here. I would be overjoyed if DH surprised me with one. They are top of the list for next breed. Enjoy and happy birthday. Hope you feel better soon Thanks

Stupid phone sorry was trying to upload a pic which did not work

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 12/10/2014 20:56

Fisher Yes he is, he knows to go for the eyes if anyone gives him trouble.

RufusTiger · 12/10/2014 20:59

All these photos are gorgeous!

alpaca - 8 weeks in the very solemn looking photo, 6.5 months in the one with the pink toy - taken this afternoon, when he finally wore himself out playing. He came from a colleague, and we didn't know he was a maine coon (not pedigree, accidental). He's huge!

Wantsunshine · 12/10/2014 21:02

Happy birthday op. I am so jealous. I would love a Beagle. I even have known for years his name will be Scout.
Post a pic so I can dream!

AlpacaYourThings · 12/10/2014 21:05

He is gorgeous, Rufus! DH and I would love a Maine Coon but I'm allergic Sad

Sounds like you're having a crap time! I think some of the ladies on here might be being a liiiittle unreasonable, you don't need making worse after all!
Puppies are super hard work (the pee, the poo, the HORROR), but I'm pretty sure you're a grown woman who is more than capable of a) working that out for yourself and b) dealing with it. As for DP, just sing IT'S MY BIRTHDAY AND I'LL CRY IF I WANT TO and demand chocolate or something! Hope you start to feel better really soon!

froootbat · 12/10/2014 21:10

Oopsie, didn't realise that there were 5 pages, I really should wear my glasses oh dear! Blush

PLEASE PLEASE stop post adorable pictures.

OH is desperate for a dog, he's never had one, I grew up with dogs (cats/ sheep/cows etc). We both work full time out of the house so there is no way we're getting a dog. Just not fair on a dog.

But he (and I) wannnnnnt one and these pics aren't helping.

But really don't. . . .

FishesTit · 12/10/2014 21:21

Here's my little sod treasure. Tucked up on her bed worn out after meowing her bloody head off and chewing my hair at 4am!

groovejet · 12/10/2014 21:28

My dog when he was a pup, he was a sod, now he is just a bit lazy and greedy, he is currently snoring next to me and will pretend not to hear me unless I say biscuit.

As a beagle mum of many years, I can understand why people are a little, erm, reserved about being a beagle owner! They are hard work , and my dh has barred me from having any more, so we have other dogs now! that said, I love beaglies! I am jealous of anyone who has a beagle pup!

LangenFlugelHappleHoff · 12/10/2014 21:43
