AIBU to think that Nicola Sturgeon and Alex Salmond should have attended the Service of Reconciliation at St Giles Cathedral after the Referendum, arranged well before 18th September?

"Mr MacAskill wasn't making a comparison between the two situations, and would obviously never do so."

So what was his point then?

Baby Doc Duvalier has died. Unlike Alex Salmond, who is alive. No comparison between the two.

Much the same as this? Neither party covered in glory, but at least BT have packed in the Nazi slurs.

I was in a church for the first time since Brownies yesterday with 999 otber inspirational, articulate and determined women. An amazing dayat tthe post referendum Women for Independence meeting.

Plucked up the courage to go on my own, came away reinvigorated, inspired and ready to get stuck in.

Anyone else there?

FannyFifer · 05/10/2014 10:51

I was there, an excellent day. Grin

Behoove · 05/10/2014 12:36

old lady two wrongs don't make a right. No deflection required. Another areshole comment obv. Re BT Nazi comments - was there a lot of them, or just one or two which you have generalised into the whole BT campaign?

Behoove · 05/10/2014 12:38

lovely No, I was too busy running the country running my household to attend a meeting in a church.
Wink

OldLadyKnowsSomething · 05/10/2014 13:29

Over the course of the campaign, Behoove, there must have been thousands of such slurs; some as blatant as "Scots Natz", others more oblique such as references to Germany between the wars. But that's in the past, let's leave it there, eh? :)

FannyFifer · 05/10/2014 14:06

Don't forget Scotland on Sunday's Swastica saltire.

OldLadyKnowsSomething · 05/10/2014 14:11

Yeah, that was pretty bad. Haven't read that paper since. Angry
