To be amused and slightly offended by this bit of "targeted marketing" from tesco? (Lighthearted)

Just received an envelope announcing vouchers selected just for me which included vouchers for wine, chocolate fingers and a free type 2 diabetes check! At least there was one for bagged salad as well!

(I am 32, fit and healthy and a normal BMI)

What's the most bizarre bit if junk mail you have received recently?!

ilovepowerhoop · 24/09/2014 13:10

2014isanewyear · 24/09/2014 13:34

BloodyUserName · 24/09/2014 13:38

Nope, just food we generally buy, washing liquid and bin bags (we don't use many bin bags, so that's the only slight random).

Eva50 · 24/09/2014 14:14

Where's mine. I want the wine ones!

picnicbasketcase · 24/09/2014 14:17

Mine usually have vouchers for money off double cream and doughnuts so it's nice to know Mr Tesco thinks I'm a giant pig.

PandaNot · 24/09/2014 14:19

Krispy Kreme toothpaste, milk, cheese, yogurts and cat litter here. No diabetes check.

tabulahrasa · 24/09/2014 14:22

Krispy Kreme toothpaste is 2 different vouchers isn't it? Otherwise I'm off to tesco for doughnut flavoured toothpaste... (Waits hopefully just in case )

ToAvoidConversation · 24/09/2014 14:23

I got a diabetes voucher too!!

We also got a wine voucher but I'm pregnant and DH doesn't normally drink much so we've bought booze once in the past 3/4 months (for someone else).

Igneococcus · 24/09/2014 15:11

My name is considered an old ladies name in the UK, it's spelled slightly differently to the English version but most people ignore the different spelling anyway. Almost all the spam mail I get is targeted at older people, chair lifts, European river cruise holidays, Saga-stuff, hearing aids....sigh

taxi4ballet · 24/09/2014 15:29

Newspapers, chicken kiev, cheese, milk, refuse bags and cut flowers here.

Nothing exciting in mine Sad. Vouchers for nappies, infused oil, choc spread and cous cous. All stuff we actually buy.

HolyQuadrityDrinkFeckArseGirls · 24/09/2014 16:40

GrinGrin That is funny, OP. I'd take them up in the offer though. I am pre-diabetic Hmm

HolyQuadrityDrinkFeckArseGirls · 24/09/2014 16:47

And I'm 31 and fit.

SanitaryOwl · 24/09/2014 16:54

Tesco have a charity partnership with Diabetes UK at the moment, that's why you've got the vouchers. I wouldn't take it personally. (however there are apparently nearly a million people in the UK who have diabetes and don't know it, that's the other reason they're doing this)

SellingIn2014 · 24/09/2014 17:20

My vouchers also included the diabetes check (I wonder if its people over a certain age?) and a voucher for a FREE 6 pack of crisps.

BloodyUserName · 24/09/2014 18:16

Mmm Krispy Creme toothpaste, better than my cinnamon flavoured retch-fest.

borisgudanov · 26/09/2014 09:46

Viagra, hormone treatments and extensions to my gentleman's equipment.

Security and antivirus stuff - invariably bogus - for Windoze PCs. I avoid Windoze like the plague.

Unnecessary building and construction work.

Conferences.

Baby food and milk (DS2 is 6).

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 26/09/2014 10:09

I got the wine and the diabetes check too.

Not sure how targeted it is given I've only bought about 3 bottles of wine in the last 12 months and none of those have been in Tesco.

Liger123 · 26/09/2014 13:11

What is this Krispy Kreme toothpaste? Can't find it anywhere online Confused
