Evening all!

OP posts:
StatisticallyChallenged · 18/09/2014 22:55

There's a happy yes voter thread over in chat, they might all be there. You know, wouldn't want to be with the last few debating amongst themselves and all (even though there are several new posters tonight!)

squoosh · 18/09/2014 22:56

I didn't know Annabel Goldie was gay. I like her too, she has the no-nonsense air of a 1930's games mistress about her.

browneyedgirl86 · 18/09/2014 22:56

Good evening :-) Hope I can join in.

YellowTulips · 18/09/2014 22:56

I agree that GB's speech was great - irrespective of the result I think he will be somewhat rejuvenated in the political area as a result. Liked him as CotE but didn't really do it for me as PM (even as a Labour voter).

Annabel was gay? I did not know that. I liked her old fashioned lady politician demeanour. Also been very impressed with Ruth.

BakerStreetSaxRift · 18/09/2014 22:57

I like Ruth too. Basically, I'm starting to feel an allegiance with any politician who has behaved in a dignified manner during this campaign!

Evening all! Settling in for the long haul now. Haven't had a nap. Went for a walk round the city tonight, all was very calm. Eerie, almost.

My prediction is 60/40 in favour of No Thanks. I'm feeling good!

TroelsNextCampaignManager · 18/09/2014 22:57

Um - wasn't it Andrew Marr, Put??

starwarslegoboy · 18/09/2014 22:58

Def a chance of conservative power in iScotland. Will of the people etc..

squoosh · 18/09/2014 22:58

Can't believe Peter Kellner is saying that so early on.

tabulahrasa · 18/09/2014 22:58

I'm a yes, though I'm fairly irregular, it just took me a minute to get here, lol.

So I'll ask again because it was near the end.

Why does England get a different TV programme?

frankie80 · 18/09/2014 22:58

right going to take laptop into bed and watch telly in bedroom so I can maybe get a bit of sleep

Wynona · 18/09/2014 22:59

OK, here goes, . I'm a floating voter. I've voted Tory, Labour and Lib Dem. I like to look at the issues weigh up the arguments and make a decision. I've always found it hard to understand why people would vote a certain way all the time.

flippinada · 18/09/2014 22:59

"Biggest winner for me was GB yesterday. I have no time for him but his speech yesterday was fantastic IMO. I now have genuine respect for him"

Agree. Was v impressed. Maybe I've called it completely wrong but it felt like it was something he cared about.

Mind you I suspect that GB has his eye on something, whatever the result is tomorrow. Just a hunch.

squoosh · 18/09/2014 22:59

I think there aren't any exit polls as there is no past rreferendum for the pollsters to compare the vote to as they would in a usual election.

Middleagedmoo · 18/09/2014 22:59

I don't mind saying. I voted no. That was my initial reaction months ago, but then I found the whole Yes thing attractive, the hope, the equality etc etc but after looking at the economic implications, currency, etc I just felt I couldn't commit and yes didn't really feel right. Also, DH may lose his job with a Yes and so that was on my mind. But everyone on social media seems to have voted yes and to be in George Square right now..and I felt just a slight twinge of what might have been. And thinking maybe I was just scared after all.

StatisticallyChallenged · 18/09/2014 22:59

Oh beggar off re "panic" Patrick. Ruth looks ready to thump him.

MindReader · 18/09/2014 23:00

Ooh, lost you all there for a minute....

Squoosh thought that Tunnocks pic might go down well -
it's the 'Ayes' that do it

Sorry, so good I did it twice...

Ds is asleep at last. Have just prised the 'History of Scotland for Children' book out of his arms - he was hugging it in his sleep!. God knows how I'll have him up for school tomorrow am. Still as this is the child whose SEN (all of 'em) are down to his 'English accent', apparently, then it wont matter too much if he misses his SEN sesh will it???

SlowlorisIncognito · 18/09/2014 23:00

Loletta BBC said that it's because with such high turnout and an unprecedented referendum, they didn't think they would be accurate/possible to do well.

Hello, btw, am English in England, but been following the political arguement with interest and think a no would be best for all of the UK.

ChelsyHandy · 18/09/2014 23:00

Santana - congratulations to all of you!

TroelsNextCampaignManager · 18/09/2014 23:00

Squoosh, fwiw Betfair is going against Kellner. It had the probability of No at 92% earlier today and that has not dropped to 89% or so.

But, ultimately, they're both giving strong odds for no.

TroelsNextCampaignManager · 18/09/2014 23:00

now dropped

LatteLoverLovesLattes · 18/09/2014 23:01

Which city Baker?

I miss living in a city!

moggiek · 18/09/2014 23:02

Kirsty Wark looks knackered!

Wynona · 18/09/2014 23:02

Middle - you acted like a grown up, so you should be proud of yourself and have no regrets.
