Is it bad that I want to lean out my window and shout "RUN Scotland! save yourselves!"

Well that would depend on whether you are for it against independence.

browneyedgirl86 · 19/09/2014 00:03

Loved mallorca towers and naughtiest girl as well :-)

flippinada · 19/09/2014 00:03

Yes, today is the day. D Day for Scotland.

squoosh · 19/09/2014 00:04

Mallorca Towers was the sunkissed Spanish version. No purple legs running around the lacrosse field. Wink

browneyedgirl86 · 19/09/2014 00:04

Mallorca? Silly tablet. I meant mallory

LatteLoverLovesLattes · 19/09/2014 00:04

Thanks wild but my blood pressure wouldn't take reading anything on there tonight!

That is disgusting to put it mildly!!!!

starwarslegoboy · 19/09/2014 00:05

Regardless of the result, this poll has allowed voters to reengage with the political system. Isn't it great that there is a win over apathy?

flippinada · 19/09/2014 00:06

Another update from The Guardian: "Talk of North Lanarkshire result by 1245. Will be key result. I have estimated it as a slim Yes win with 52% of the vote."

From Steven Hope ,who runs Ipsos MORI office in Edinburgh.

LatteLoverLovesLattes · 19/09/2014 00:06

If it's a 'yes' vote, I'll have apathy back please.

OneNight · 19/09/2014 00:06

I think you need to recognise everyone part of why our brothers and sisters are so exercised. If you have some time to spare before the counts start reporting you might consider watching Be advised that it's over an hour long and not pleasant viewing for anyone. I haven't posted this link before.

browneyedgirl86 · 19/09/2014 00:07

Lol @ Squash. I bet they didn't have to play hockey.

SlowlorisIncognito · 19/09/2014 00:07

Personally, I think the expected turnout has been amazing, and I only hope that the political re-engagement can spread to the rest of the UK in some way.

flippinada · 19/09/2014 00:07

starwars agree re: political engagement

OOAOML · 19/09/2014 00:08

Latte a lot of the door knocking rounds we went by car, but Then parked and walked. There are a lot of flats in Edinburgh.

Lesley Riddoch really annoys me. And is it frivolous to say what is Jackie Bird thinking of wearing that dress?

flippinada · 19/09/2014 00:08

I'm intrigued by the report about AS not attending the count. I'm going to see if I can find any more info about it.

NoImaginationUsername · 19/09/2014 00:09

I was going to stay up, but I won't make it much longer I think.

I am calling it for No. Will shall see if I am correct in the morning, but quite frankly this is not looking good for Yes.

flippinada · 19/09/2014 00:10

Hmm..Telegraph are reporting similar:

"Alex Salmond was expected to visit the Aberdeenshire count in the early hours of the morning, to hear the declaration for the area that includes his own constituency.
However, a spokesman has confirmed that he now plans to stay at home in Strichen overnight before travelling to Edinburgh later on Friday.
The move has prompted speculation at the count, in the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre, that things may not be going as well as he had hoped"

starwarslegoboy · 19/09/2014 00:11

Eh. Probably missed something but surely AS is having a wee kip during the non political period

squoosh · 19/09/2014 00:11

Yes apathy has definitely been the loser in this referendum

browneyedgirl86 · 19/09/2014 00:11

I am curious to know why AS hasn't or won't be attending the count. Saving Face?

I would have thought that too. It easy to read innuendo into every wee thing.
