Cambiodenombre · 18/09/2014 23:56

Thanks!

WildThong · 18/09/2014 23:57

Night night Wynona

Cambiodenombre · 18/09/2014 23:57

My mum gave me my mallory towers books recently. Happy days =)

squoosh · 18/09/2014 23:57

No exit polls as the pollsters don't have a past referendum to compare results to. Or something like that. I think with general elections they come to their conclusions by comparing voting patterns to past voting patterns.

All of the above may be wrong.

EarthWindFire · 18/09/2014 23:57

Oh, I loved. Chalet School. And Mallory Towers. And St Clare's

Me too Blush

starwarslegoboy · 18/09/2014 23:57

No no 51% yes

flippinada · 18/09/2014 23:58

Wynona, I envy your confidence :)

Cambiodenombre · 18/09/2014 23:59

A 51/49 split either way would be awful

SlowlorisIncognito · 18/09/2014 23:59

No exit polls also possibly due to very high turnout, was part of the impression I got, so that exit polls might be less accurate anyway. As well as it being unprecedented in multiple ways.

WildThong · 18/09/2014 23:59

Anyone imagine that each team are holed up in a suite somewhere watching all the news feeds like West Wing?

starwarslegoboy · 18/09/2014 23:59

There is reason that the name Gwendoline has not hit the popular baby list

LatteLoverLovesLattes · 18/09/2014 23:59

OOAOML you should have gone by Bike Grin

EWF ah well, at least you tried! It is so hot here I have all the doors and windows open, so really need not to nod off!

TroelsNextCampaignManager · 18/09/2014 23:59

No exit polls as they typically are used to compare results between elections; this vote hasn't happened in this way in recent years so no comparison possible.

Spiritedwolf · 18/09/2014 23:59

Ooh Chalet School and Mallory Towers :) I loved "The naughtiest girl in the school", the way they ran the school with the student council.

(once a political geek, always a political geek)

TroelsNextCampaignManager · 19/09/2014 00:00

x-post with squoosh

squoosh · 19/09/2014 00:00

Gwendoline was a wet rag.

flippinada · 19/09/2014 00:00

A very close vote would not be great. I don't know what to read into what the Guardian are saying. That press conference could mean anything.

HappyYoni · 19/09/2014 00:01

Ahh. Thanks squoosh :)

Is it bad that I want to lean out my window and shout "RUN Scotland! save yourselves!"

Nb, am quite a long way from Scotland.

flippinada · 19/09/2014 00:01

"not great" understatement of the century.

EarthWindFire · 19/09/2014 00:01

It's now gone midnight... Today is the day we find out

Cambiodenombre · 19/09/2014 00:01

Is that the queens statement.

TroelsNextCampaignManager · 19/09/2014 00:01

I loved those books too - DD has been reading Naughtiest Girl and am itching for her to get onto Chalet and Towers Grin

LatinForTelly · 19/09/2014 00:02

Hello folks. Just perching on the thread although sadly do not have the stamina to watch the results come rolling in. I haven't been on Mumsnet today and, just catching up, am impressed that you romped through a whole thread from 10 to 10!

I am quite afraid now that Yes will squeak it. Ahh well, when I wake up, we will know. Wine Cake
