It wasn't accidental that Eck managed to exclude those of us currently living in Britain but not Scotland (too difficult), whilst registering 16 and 17 year olds to vote (somehow not too difficult).

But surely the decision should be made by those who reside in Scotland and who will be most impacted by the vote? If you are born in Scotland, but live elsewhere then its not really down to you to decide. Plus it's nice and easy ri say everyone 16+ residing in Scotland, it'd be a logistical nightmare to start trying to figure out other claims to Scottishness.

Yes ... it really sucks for Scots who happened to be living elsewhere at the time, whichever way they would have voted.

PhaedraIsMyName · 18/09/2014 22:17

No you are not. I'm utterly depressed at the thought that today was the last day my country existed.

PhaedraIsMyName · 18/09/2014 22:21

Oh pleasse.. This sort of crap makes me want to spew.
Much like the sentimental hogwash spewed out by Yes provokes the same reaction in me.

AtlanticDrift · 18/09/2014 22:27

Yanbu to feel sad. I feel sad everyday that Ireland is not a united country. But hey ho you learn to muddle on with life don't you?

Chipstick10 · 18/09/2014 22:36

I pray Scotland vote yes but I don't think it's likely . Gutted

ErrolTheDragon · 18/09/2014 23:00

There's going to be sad people whichever way this goes, I'm afraid. More if it goes 'yes', because of the rest of Britain mostly doesn't want the split, but an real end of a dream for some if it's 'no'. Sad

Tinkerball · 18/09/2014 23:04

Chipstick have confidence.

ScrambledeggLDCcakeBOAK · 18/09/2014 23:08

I feel act all quite sick with nerves.

It is the biggest decision our country has faced for a lot of years!

rootypig · 18/09/2014 23:09

Do you think Tinker? I think it's going to be a no, and always has been. My mum is in Scotland (teacher in town outside Glasgow) and I've just talked to so, so, so many people who are no.

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 18/09/2014 23:11

I had a dream last night, my friend was dumped by her boyfriend. She's English, her BF is Scottish. Maybe it was an omen.

rootypig · 18/09/2014 23:12

A friend saw a pigeon die a horrific death on a London road. I told her that was an omen Grin

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 18/09/2014 23:14

Maybe it is, Alex Salmond is crossing the road and David Cameron is zooming towards him in a 4 x 4 Grin

rootypig · 18/09/2014 23:17

It's a very cryptic omen, to be sure Grin Grin Grin

TaliZorahVasNormandy · 18/09/2014 23:20

Well, even my friend's gonna get dumped or the rest of us will.

When I dream about this stuff, it happens.

Tinkerball · 18/09/2014 23:23

Rooty I do feel genuinely confident. If Glasgow is yes then that will be a very good sign, and I think it will be!

MiuChoos · 18/09/2014 23:24

OK, I'm going to put my thicky head on now. What's so wrong with being part of the UK? Why do you want to leave?! Genuine question.

Tinkerball · 18/09/2014 23:41

It's not the UK as such, it's Westminster.

awaynboilyurheid · 18/09/2014 23:41

We don't want to leave ! well hopefully you will see that tomorrow! but I have to say I'm very nervous tonight

Tinkerball · 18/09/2014 23:42

Away your post should really say "I don't want to leave"!

awaynboilyurheid · 18/09/2014 23:43

Well me and a majority (hopefully) of others
