I'm watching the BBC new too, a woman has just said it's the most important day of her life and her ancestors lives. Ummmm.....

MerryMarigold · 18/09/2014 22:04

What time will you know.

Interesting from the Quebec perspective...yeh, I can see this happening again fairly soon if the answer is No. I'm glad I'm not Scottish. I think my heart would say Yes and my head would say No. I think No is the rational decision and Yes is a more emotional reaction.

BardarbungaBardarbing · 18/09/2014 22:04

Hester many people I know are quiet about it. Or have been up to the last fortnight.

Some I know have either been SNP members or keen supporters forever. Others have been keen to be part of debates about the democracy deficit for the two year run-up and self report as Yes.

I'm not on Facebook so have missed that particular hell.

However if anyone says they are "enjoying the national debate" and seem generally energised by it, I tend to think they are yes!Wink

brighthouse · 18/09/2014 22:04

So nervous, wish I could fast forward to tomorrow.

LatteLoverLovesLattes · 18/09/2014 22:04

Squoosh I am hoping it feels the same tonight, a no vote would do that for me. Just quiet relief and a 'what a fucking worry - thank god it's over'.

SirChenjin · 18/09/2014 22:05

Oh dear.....ancestors??!

I know it's mean to laugh, but Grin

squoosh · 18/09/2014 22:05

My polling station is on the news.

Quite right too.

Spiritedwolf · 18/09/2014 22:05

Thank goodness trees, lampposts and windows don't have a vote as they were mainly indicating yes... however there might have been a silent majority for no... Grin

flippinada · 18/09/2014 22:05

*We'll not well. Shaky fingers!

SantanaLopez · 18/09/2014 22:05

I haven't bought my pram yet. If it's a no tomorrow, that's how I'm going to celebrate.

Fucking hell, crying again.

OneNight · 18/09/2014 22:06

Keep it civil folks. The vote isn't in and whatever the results we have to work together from a few days hence. (I know I said two days but I've mentally added on a hangover quota since I brought the whisky over.)

RJnomore · 18/09/2014 22:06

Gosh I only went to do some washing and I see an argument has started...

I'm feeling a bit more confident now. I was almost in tears earlier.

Spiritedwolf · 18/09/2014 22:06

I'll take my posters down now whilst DH is out for the count Grin

StatisticallyChallenged · 18/09/2014 22:06

Not tuned in to the news yet, what's happened Squoosh? Or is it just a random polling station shot

LatteLoverLovesLattes · 18/09/2014 22:07

flipinada I had a reasonable sized business in those days, if the Y2K but had fucked all the computers life would have been very very difficult!! Not to mention all the other things banking, supermarkets etc Also might depend how old you were at the time :)

StatisticallyChallenged · 18/09/2014 22:07

Awww Santana, when are you due?

OP posts:
Wynona · 18/09/2014 22:07

Will it make you all cross if I ask what you are hoping for as I'm new to the thread. What happens if it is a dead heat? Do they have to count again or do we toss a coin? I reckon 53% No.

littledrummergirl · 18/09/2014 22:08

Well thats it, for good or ill.

Flowers to everyone in Scotland.

                    Nought's had, all's spent,

Whereour desire is got without content;
'Tis safer to be that which we destroy
Than by destruction dwell in doubtful joy.

SirChenjin · 18/09/2014 22:08

Oh Santana Sad

RJnomore · 18/09/2014 22:09

1999 was exciting fr me - dd1 was born on 27/12

I will be beyond furious if, having established its a majority no, we are put to the ridiculous expense, inconvenience and emotional trauma of another referendum.

SantanaLopez · 18/09/2014 22:09

Late November, stats. Just don't want to buy it and have to take it down to London.

I am hoping for No, Wynona.
Dead heat, please don't say things like that Grin

MerryMarigold · 18/09/2014 22:09

I think it will be a lot harder for the No people to lose than the Yes people.

WildThong · 18/09/2014 22:09

Even my ancestors are nervous.
