Even tighter in the polls. I can't take another week of this!!!

Me neither!

SantanaLopez · 11/09/2014 22:07

Don't sacrifice the cat stats Grin

DirtyBlonde · 11/09/2014 22:12

HSBC review their domicile regularly, and from time to time talk of going back to Hong Kong. Maybe RBS should just skip an rUK step en route?

ChelsyHandy · 11/09/2014 22:15

A man interviewed on the News just said that he had voted Yes by using his postal vote, but was now wondering if he had done the right thing.

That's all we need. A minority big enough to swing it with button-pusher syndrome - the excitement of pressing the dangerous button too much to resist, even though they know they probably shouldn't do it.

cunexttuesonline · 11/09/2014 22:15

I haven't been able to read through all these, it has moved far too fast!

I see that now, if Dcam etc are good for their word, we have no 'No' option anymore, we have yes and devomax (no).

My worry is this, we vote no, we get tax raising powers of 10/15%. Fast forward a couple of years and our budget is cut, barnett formula could be scrapped etc and we then have to use our tax raising powers just to stay still and have the things we have just now. Thoughts?

Another point, we have had threads and threads of 'RBS jobs WILL move out of scotland' and now that they have said that the jobs won't move but the regsitered office address would, you still don't believe it? I don't dispute that some jobs in that industry will move btw.

cunexttuesonline · 11/09/2014 22:16

I also just saw it on the news that david cameron has been pressurising the supermarkets to say they will raise prices. Great.

Justanotherlurker · 11/09/2014 22:19

If someone can repost mine as an image and link it would have the effect I was after, obviously it was a joke and not meant offend

DirtyBlonde · 11/09/2014 22:19

Leave aside the political pressure angle of that: if the big supermarkets already know they expect price rises, is it right they say so?

Because if there are important things about he cost of living, I think the electorate should know. OTOH, this is meant to be about bigger issues than the cost of the next few years.

StatisticallyChallenged · 11/09/2014 22:20

Look, Deeedee I'm sorry if you're annoyed and feel I gave you the wrong impression about where I work. I've been very careful to never say who my employer is on here. I've also not said exactly what my job is. Edinburgh is a very small place and it's just too much person info for me to reveal. I'm sure you can understand that.

Don't worry Santana, I can promise that the cat would win!

AnnieHoo · 11/09/2014 22:20

Chelsy the postal vote is 18% which is healthy but there will be a huge turnout for the vote. 97% of the adult population have registered. I'm still stunned by that. It's outstanding!

ChelsyHandy · 11/09/2014 22:20

I'd say that is quite a likely outcome Wanksock, and I guess we'd just have to suck it up.

I'm not a betting person, but I would bet on Salmond and the Whingers who whinge now still whining about it being the South of England's fault, the Conservatives' fault and the fault of their not being independent and in control of their own affairs so as to be able to create a more fair and equal society, etc, etc, etc..

ChelsyHandy · 11/09/2014 22:22

It too late JustAnotherLurker, we've already been exposed to the string vest! We survived Tommy Sheridan on a sunbed with an attempt at a come hither look though, so we can survive anything.

StatisticallyChallenged · 11/09/2014 22:23

You know, I don't actually doubt one little bit that Westminster are fighting like hell. The YES camp haven't exactly played fair, there has been so much lies and misinformation that it's painful.

I hate this. Both sides are shit. It actually makes me want to get involved in politics but a) I'd get eaten alive as I'm socially inept and b) There is no party that speaks to me.

SantanaLopez · 11/09/2014 22:24

How did you get that photo of my DH, Just? Wink

We all saw the response to supermarkets earlier this year- calls for a boycott from SNP councillors and a fairly aggressive tweet from the director of communications.

They must keep their options open at this stage.

cunexttuesonline · 11/09/2014 22:25

It just doesn't seem quite right to me, what if people want no new powers for the scottish govt? That option is now off the table Confused

StatisticallyChallenged · 11/09/2014 22:25

That's true Santana - anyone else reckon Standard Life will have increased security for the next couple of weeks?

SantanaLopez · 11/09/2014 22:28

I wouldn't be surprised.

ChelsyHandy · 11/09/2014 22:31

I would imagine it would have been part of their risk management planning many months ago Statistically.

And yes, I agree with Wanksock too. The quiet No voter is unlikely to get proper representation. I think we are now in danger of being totally over-represented by expensive politicians in Scotland.

Justanotherlurker · 11/09/2014 22:33

Ah sorry, was attempting a bad stereotypical joke post.

Oh guaranteed but I bet they increased it after they "came out"

PhaedraIsMyName · 11/09/2014 22:37

Stats I can't work out where you work but it's obvious to me from what you say you could not say on here where it is

BakerStreetSaxRift · 11/09/2014 22:38

I hate this, I just want it all to be over. I feel angry most of the time at the moment. Scotland will never recover from this, well, not this generation anyway. It's just awful.

AnnieHoo · 11/09/2014 22:38

What do you mean by "increased security" maybe I'm being dim Blush.
