I have just eaten a bag of walkers Ranch Raccoon crisps Hmm don't ask me why!
TBH they were a bit bland to begin with, but eeww, I've cleaned my teeth and can still taste the buggers, They taste abit like a fousty scrotum not that I've tried any scrotum, fousty or otherwise The taste will not leave me!
They were in a multi pack with hot dog and beans on toast flavours,
Pass me the salt and vinegar Grin

try the steak fajita ones - theyre much better

Whiskwarrior · 10/09/2014 21:35

I was thinking about those earlier (sad life, me) and how each year Walkers do this 'vote for the new flavour' (which we never see in the shops again anyway) and there's always some 'wacky' animal flavour.

Don't know why that gets up my nose - I think it's the enforced craziness of it.

As you were Grin

Thisismyfirsttime · 10/09/2014 21:37

DH said much the same thing! All the new flavours taste just like old flavours, the hotdog and ketchup ones are like the old ketchup and the steak ones are like the bbq beef ones!

limitedperiodonly · 10/09/2014 21:47

I bought that multi-pack - as you said, don't ask me why. I only like cheese and onion or ready salted. I should know that by now.

Racoon was bad, the ketchup gave me chemical burns and the baked bean was the least-worst option.

What do you get if you vote? I couldn't work it out.

MarkWrightsLonelyBraincell · 10/09/2014 21:52

Yanbu, they are repulsive and the taste lingers for hours. Who thought raccoon would even be appealing? The fajita ones are alright though.

WorraLiberty · 10/09/2014 21:54

I agree they're horrible

But I wasn't sure if it was the raccoon or the sour cream that made them taste that way Grin

Honeezreturn · 10/09/2014 21:54

Glad its not just me then. Ds informs me he had 'pulled pork' flavour at his mates house, said they were 'decent' whatever that means. But pork crisps, thats just wrong isnt it?

Even the DC won't eat the raccoon. Your description is spot on Grin

Chip shop curry is the best of the bunch.

MrsCakesPrecognition · 10/09/2014 21:55

All the "new" flavours are absolutely revolting.

FreudiansSlipper · 10/09/2014 22:27

I tried pulled pork yuk they were horrible but then so is pulled pork

I used to love Bovril flavour but I think it was KP crisps not Walkers

Marcipex · 10/09/2014 22:29

DGD (23 months) tried a raccoon crisp, took it out of her mouth, and put it back in the packet. So they must be bad.

Marcipex · 10/09/2014 22:30

Oh yes Freudian, Bovril flavour was great.

spanky2 · 10/09/2014 22:31

I ate the curry ones yesterday, and it burped them until I was asleep. Nice to eat until the burps. I don't like the baked beans crisps. They taste like weird cheese.

CleanHankie · 10/09/2014 22:33

I thought they were the best flavour!!

Purchased a multipack as they were reduced due to split outer, usually avoid these novelty flavours. Had the Racoon alongside cheese and crackers and thought they went down really well.

Couldn't stomach the cheesy beans and crisps that taste like tinned hotdogs - really?!

limitedperiodonly · 10/09/2014 22:37

I've been looking at the last bag from the cheese and onion multi-pack for about an hour.

It's calling to me but I know that in the morning I'll have a disgusting taste in my mouth and hate myself.

MarkWrightsLonelyBraincell · 10/09/2014 22:52

I miss Tudor Spring Onion crisps, now those were delicious, though you'd taste them for days after eating.

twostucktogether · 10/09/2014 22:59

Is it just me that thought the OP was talking about real raccoons? Blush
possibly an American delicacy? maybe?

Janethegirl · 10/09/2014 23:02

Why the fuck would you want to eat raccoons?

Why the fuck would you want to eat raccoons?

Apparentlyroadkill is very popular in some parts of the States!

limitedperiodonly · 10/09/2014 23:12

I have an ankle-length hooded coat trimmed with raccoon fur.

I'm just putting that out there because I fancy a bun-fight.

KeemaNaanAndCurryOn · 10/09/2014 23:16

I hope it was from organically farmed naice raccoons, limited, rather than the factory farmed raccoons used for the crisps Grin

twostucktogether · 10/09/2014 23:29

Now I'm disappointed!

IneedAwittierNickname · 10/09/2014 23:33

I like the raccoon ones.

Ds2 keeps reading the word 'ranch' as 'rank' though which is very apt for this thread Grin

LadyBaelish · 10/09/2014 23:33

YANBU. We had some the other day, I wasn't sure how to describe them but DH went with 'beefy sour cream' I'll stick with the fajita ones, they were nice.
