What, exactly, will the price of gin be? And will there still be lemons?

Will Simon Cowell be welcome or will there be a ban?

I am fed up of sterling, NHS, sterling, trident, blah blah blah.

There are more important issues that should be addressed by both sides. Please post your questions here.

OOAOML · 31/08/2014 20:59

Who would you want presenting the news?

Maybe limes are a modern and continental phenomenon?

venusandmars · 31/08/2014 21:00

Scottish summertime will last 5 minutes. Not worth us changing the clocks for Grin

venusandmars · 31/08/2014 21:04

Perhaps we could be the first country to decimalise the time.... the 100 minute hour, the 10 hour day etc (of course that would be new minutes, and new hours, like when they decimalised the currency.

Then everyone else in the world you have to fall in behind us.

The French gave that a bash during the Revolution. And we all know how that ended up

SantanaLopez · 31/08/2014 21:06

On the newsreader topic, as long as we get rid of Catriona, I'm good. I have a probably unreasonable dislike of her.

itsmeitscathy · 31/08/2014 21:08

YABU - limes go much better with gin

Mrsjayy · 31/08/2014 21:16

Catriona has the same make up artist as jane mcdonald

TheDeathOfRats · 31/08/2014 21:25

Statistically I am. I will have to pay then Sad

TheDeathOfRats · 31/08/2014 21:27

Ooh, an independence day concert! Will it be like Glasgow again? Loads of Kylie?

OOAOML · 31/08/2014 21:30

It will be Hue nd Cry, Deacon Blue and the Proclaimers.

OOAOML · 31/08/2014 21:30

Edinburgh and Glasgow will fight over it.

StatisticallyChallenged · 31/08/2014 21:32

Nah, Edinburgh will be busy demanding it's own mini referendum to stay in the UK!

dotdotdotmustdash · 31/08/2014 21:34

Can we have the faces of Maw and Paw Broon on our currency?
Can all recordings of Sydney Devine be pulled our to sea in barge and torpedoed.

If so, I'm in.

BetterTogether75 · 31/08/2014 21:34

I would fight to avoid having The Proclaimers or Pat Kane in my city, too...

OOAOML · 31/08/2014 21:37

Is Sydney Devine still alive? I was taken to see him in Perth with my mum and one of my aunts. I had an autographed picture of him. I think
I had to sit on his knee but I have wiped most of that from my memory.

Mrsjayy · 31/08/2014 21:38

Deacon blue were a bloody embarresment at the closing ceremony ricky ross nearly dissapeared up his pretentious backside

OOAOML · 31/08/2014 21:40

The building demilition/development in St Andrew Square reminds me of the Crimson Permanent Assurance from Monty Python Meaning of Life, maybe it is a contingency option from the FS heads in Edinburgh?

WildThong · 31/08/2014 21:42

Hendricks gin is Scottish (I think)

moggiek · 31/08/2014 21:42

Sydney Devine is very much still alive. Seems almost impossible, doesn't it?

Mrsjayy · 31/08/2014 21:44

WildThong · 31/08/2014 21:45
