Really didn't want to use the word 'bad' Sad

DP's darling sister uploaded photos of her 9~ month old in McDonald's eating fries and chicken nuggets.

We KNOW junk food is bad, why give it to such a young baby? Why give it to your child at all?!

OP posts:
Cantbelievethisishappening · 30/08/2014 21:41

Hahaha. I love how everyone's saying it's nbd but I bet most of you wouldn't give a 9 month old McDonald's either!

Yes....and? I wouldn't have given my 9 month old a chicken nugget and chips but equally I am not fussed if someone chooses to. Cant see the hoo ha. So much indignation from the OP based on a few pics on FB. Its a chicken nugget not a Jack Daniels and coke. Smile

ArsenicyOldFace · 30/08/2014 21:42

" that she was feeding her baby (who she was so excited to have!) unhealthy crap."

Why is there not a snide aside of the week award?

Cantbelievethisishappening · 30/08/2014 21:43

Oh crapping hell......really bad typo.... how the fuck did that happen Confused

ArsenicyOldFace · 30/08/2014 21:43

Your device hates you. Did you drop it?

HaroldLloyd · 30/08/2014 21:44

Social services or MNHQ?

Lulu1083 · 30/08/2014 21:44

Grin probably the worst typo I've ever seen

HaroldLloyd · 30/08/2014 21:44

Oh god sorry just read your post Blush

kormasutra · 30/08/2014 21:45

My dd is 3.5 and has never finished a happy meal. Maybe eats 1 nugget and a few chips, never eaten a burger there or anywhere else.
It's more the novelty of going there, getting a toy and a balloon.
If we're out and about and haven't got much time, she would much rather have a kids pack at subway with tomato and cucumber on.
No doubt that's the devils food too:)

Cantbelievethisishappening · 30/08/2014 21:45

In my defence I am not wearing my glasses and the letters are all very near each other Blush

HaroldLloyd · 30/08/2014 21:46

I reported it as well for you. your computer hates you what a bastard!

ArsenicyOldFace · 30/08/2014 21:46

Typos happen. Don't stress.

ArsenicyOldFace · 30/08/2014 21:48

I think she must have been doing awful things to her computer Harold to earn so much hate Wink

WorraLiberty · 30/08/2014 21:48

Cantbelieve, what a typo!! Grin

I remember once typing > but missing out the letter s

I was absolutely mortified because I didn't know until the next day when I revisited the thread Blush

puntasticusername · 30/08/2014 21:49

Cantbelievethisishappening

How very apt your username is Grin

Sorry but that is bloody funny, YAB monstrously UR to put that phrase in my head - I think my chances of ever actually asking for "chicken nuggets" in McDs again just fell through the floor...

(not that that even matters because I ought to be instantly shot upon stepping up to the counter, especially if my DC are within 50 miles, apparently Hmm )

Cantbelievethisishappening · 30/08/2014 21:49

Just awful.... so sorry

Again you have made me laugh tonight Worra

FlossyMoo · 30/08/2014 21:50

Oh god I laughed. Sorry. Inappropriate but I couldn't' help it Blush

Laquitar · 30/08/2014 21:50

For once i read a food thread and i dont say 'blimey i need some x food now'. Thats because i 'm eating oven chips right now!:-)

(I am not going to write what do i dip my chips in because it is a very mn dip and you will think i am joking. But it is true. And OP might aprove it! ).

ArsenicyOldFace · 30/08/2014 21:50

Worra Shock

At least its obvious what happened with yours cant. You might want to have a word with the dictionary though (in case you ever want to type nugget again)

everydayvalue · 30/08/2014 21:51

Oh my at that typo

Can I laugh?

Passmethecrisps · 30/08/2014 21:51

On the bright side can't believe your username seems apt. I thought those sorts of typos only happened to me!

Anyway. Back to processed fast-food.

One of the best meals we had in France on our last visit was maccie D's (don't even start . . .) 18mo dd was beyond herself with hunger and tiredness and we didn't know where we were. The place was waitress service and the food was genuinely ace. Dd stuffed with great determination a whole nugget in her mouth then applauded herself for her efforts. The mini furby she got along with it became a form favourite and was fed her frites.

I don't think I have broken her.

puntasticusername · 30/08/2014 21:53

Laquitar it's not bloody lotus spread, is it?

Serenitysutton · 30/08/2014 21:55

I think that considering the small
Amount a 9Mo eats, a children's meal of nuggets and chips is a pretty big proportion of their daily food so not exactly moderation. In all honesty is be judgey too. Only been eating for 3 months and salty crappy mcds already? It's not what most people would Want in my experience
