Iain's Alaska was out of the freezer for 40 secs. That's it. No sabotage. 40 secs of normal temp would NOT be enough to reduce it to liquid

Were they told to keep shush about Diana, do you reckon?

Good TV? I think it's actually quite unfair on her tbh. They deliberately made it look like she wrecked his bake and now she's going to face a lot of grief over it. She's an elderly woman in a baking competition fgs! People are taking it too seriously.

I think it was probably a genuine mistake but she then didn't hold her hands and say it was her fault.

I reckon he'll be back again next week.

I think she did it on purpose she didn't look that bothered either which really irritated me. Ian was a bit of a dick chucking it out but I can understand why he did it

The editors will probably go for a love triangle next week and maybe some shagging over a plate of scones.

Ian may have been a tit for chucking it away but it's exactly the same reaction I would have had as well, possibly even the walking off.

I had to laugh and I felt every single bit of shame, stupidity and awkwardness he must have felt as well.

As someone on Twitter said, bring Cameron back from holidays to sort it out.

This type of horrific editing wouldn't have happened on bbc2 you know.
