Oh op, I do like you.

If I promise never to hold your hand, will you promise never to tell me what's for dinner/what you're wearing/what funny thing a child said today?

This could be the beginning of a beautiful thing with physically, emotionally and practically defined limits.

MrsVamos · 18/08/2014 17:18

I like sometimes offering a hand to hold and/or hugs.

Do I need a spreadshit of those that don't want either offered ?

Oh blimey.

You think, BTP ?

Didn't realise it was such an offence. Sad

KateSMumsnet · 18/08/2014 17:27

I LONG for a hug I'm so lonely

But given the choice between a place where people can ask for support and physical affection, and a place where they get shouted down for asking - surely the former is better?

HappyAgainOneDay · 18/08/2014 17:28

EmmanuelWoganberry It is possible to change your pants with one hand. I had a broken arm earlier this year and am a quick learner. It's surprising what you can do with one hand / arm. I couldn't tie shoelaces though, or peel potatoes. Lots of things I couldn't do but plenty of things that I learned to do.

HappyAgainOneDay · 18/08/2014 17:29

And I was grateful for the hugs and kisses I received from Mumsnetters.

HotPinkWeaselWearingLederhosen · 18/08/2014 17:30

No ones shouting at anyone.

If your worried about bitterness and lack of support you should see the meanness to other posters on the flaming thread. It's enough to make a weasel weep.
