AIBU to have got myself in a right old lather over David Tennant?

I had a lovely dream about David Tennant the other night and now I can't get him out of my head. I've been googling him, watching him on YouTube and having all sorts of shocking day dreams about him. I have this continual feeling that something exciting is going to happen, and when I pin it down, it's just that he's sort of in the back of my mind all the time. For goodness sake. I'm like a love struck teenager. I'm happily married and 42! Blimey the man is lovely though.

My Rory crush reached its peak when I was heavily pregnant with DC3. Guess what I ended up naming him... (In fact, I have 2 boys, both of whom are named after people on my ideal man list.)

I will have to do some Hiddles watching on You Tube. Trouble is that I very rarely get time on my own to watch videos. At least with pictures I can look at them on Pinterest and quickly flick back to pictures of crochet patterns or children's crafts when DH asks what I'm looking at. I have seen the Sesame Street one, and Loki at Comic Con. Anything else I should be looking out for?

MarshaBrady · 14/08/2014 19:09

Noo don't get DT lust at all.

dollywobbles · 14/08/2014 19:15

I am now googling conventions has made me laugh more than anything I have ever read on here.
Thanks for that, OP. Grin

Ah my pleasure dolly

lyingwitch I do apologise. For me it was The Eye of the Needle and MASH that did it for me, so that shows my age! He's way cuter than Kiefer but I have to admit to having a fleeting Kiefer moment when watching 24.

Watch some Tree Fu Tom on cbeebies and all the dreams will go away. You'll never be able to think of DT again without picturing Twigs!

gordyslovesheep · 14/08/2014 19:58

here is my first love ...I first spotted him when I was 8 and he was spanking nuns on screen

I still love him

That's ok, farewell... gosh, I could have been your step-mum... you with Kiefer, me with Donald... Shock I wish! Grin

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 14/08/2014 20:00

Who is that, gordy?

gordyslovesheep · 14/08/2014 20:05

Michael Palin I love him

DiseasesOfTheSheep · 14/08/2014 20:05

My first love was Wesley Crusher. I'm still crushing on Wil Wheaton a little bit...

itsbetterthanabox · 14/08/2014 20:07

I did find him attractive but not so much now I know I know he has a much, much younger wife that's just creepy imo. Plus the virgin ads he did show he'll do any shit for money even though he's successful and wealthy and I think that shows he has no artistic integrity. So crush went bye bye!

FrankelandFilly · 14/08/2014 20:07

Do you follow him on Twitter Diseases? He's very funny.

RiverTam · 14/08/2014 20:10

YANBU, I get myself in a right lather about luscious blokes off the telly all the time, not David Tennant admittedly, though I do see the appeal. I preferred Matt Smith if we're talking Doctors, though DT would be a close 2nd.

I am totally with you on Donald Sutherland, though.

farewellfigure · 14/08/2014 20:12

Ah gordy Michael Palin is just lovely. I read something about crushes the other day. It said all the girly girls loved The Brat Pack and the girls who needed father figures loved Michael Palin, Alan Rickman and Robin Williams (RIP). The thing is I always loved the older ones but had a wonderful a perfectly lovely Dad, so work that one out.

I like the fact that David is one year older than me so that's just perfect.

14 years is hardly 'much, much younger' - my parents were 16 years apart and had the happiest marriage I know - calling that 'creepy' is just ridiculous and very insulting.

farewellfigure · 14/08/2014 20:13

I could quite fancy Twigs. That's how bad it is.

I've always had a soft spot for men who make me laugh Grin

gordyslovesheep · 14/08/2014 20:15

18 years between my mum and step dad - she's the older one - 25 years married this year

DiseasesOfTheSheep · 14/08/2014 20:17

I do, Frankel I adore him and stalk him across t'internet Grin

farewellfigure · 14/08/2014 20:18

gordy I think that might be it. I could never imagine Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise making me giggle. But Steve Martin for example, woohoo!

David has a fantastic sense of humour Grin

I used to not like DT after seeing him in Blackpool, because he reminded me, very unnervingly, of the most ill-advised brief fling I ever had. But when DS began his DR Who obsession and we started watching all the reruns on BBC3 I started to see the point of him.

Though the last time I was mildly obsessed with a sleb it was Philip Glennister in Ashes to Ashes.

expatinscotland · 14/08/2014 20:21

I'll take on Donald AND Kiefer Sutherland both. Phwoar.

RiverTam · 14/08/2014 20:34

Donald AND Kiefer Sutherland both

itsbetterthanabox · 14/08/2014 20:51

Ok sorry shouldn't have said creepy but I personally am not attracted to men who date much younger women.

TakemedowntoPotatoCity · 14/08/2014 20:51

YY to Philip Glenister, SGB. I had a girl crush on Keeley Hawes at the same time!
