To ask about your pubic hair?

Long married friend recently asked how I keep my pubic hair, it's been so long since we've had to worry about it I fear we might be doing it all wrong! So?

Well I decorated mine with lots of Clitter and then Dh had that bedazzled look like it was Christmas morning..

Onesleeptillwembley · 14/08/2014 13:42

Grin@ Murphys Clitter.
In that case mine was a member of the Clitterati, constantly papped on red carpets, Caribbean islands, yachts, until the hedonistic lifestyle proved too much. It was a slow descent into scented Always and blunt razors.
It's now a sad shell of itself, hiding away in my undies, refusing requests for appearances and autographs. Hmm

I remember when my bush was really soft, like angels hair (do angels have pubes?). Lately I've noticed it feels more like iron wool. Anyone else have this?

BlueBrightBlue · 14/08/2014 14:03

Yes, I find it very handy for getting rust off my front gate.

BomChickaMeowMeow · 14/08/2014 14:09

I keep it in a box on the bedside table. I shaved it off but knitted it into a little foo cosy for cold nights, and in case DH fancies a bit of variety.

TheFirstOfHerName · 14/08/2014 14:16

Foo Cosy would be a great name for a band.

BlueBrightBlue · 14/08/2014 14:24

Wasn't Foo Cosy on BB some years ago?

EmberElftree · 14/08/2014 14:33

ToffeeMoon whack a bit of conditioner on it when you're in the shower. I got this handy hint from a book once think it may have been a Marian Keyes.

I don't have pubes anymore (wax into tiny triangle, shave undercarriage & front off) but when I did they were luxuriant!

enormouse · 14/08/2014 14:42

I'm contemplating ombreing it to match my hair when I get round to dyeing it.

kentishgirl · 14/08/2014 14:45

Mine is doing that crap reverse mohican thing as well now (thanks perimenopause).

I have to keep it trimmed down otherwise every time I look at it I think of Keith frigging Flint.

I suppose I could dye it green and go with the look?

MrsDavidBowie · 14/08/2014 14:50

I am lasered around edges and recently gave beautician free rein with pubes. ..we were chatting so much I now have Brazilian.

I actually love it.

Mine also spent a ga year as one of S club 7, then went out with Russell Brand for a while. I wasn't thrilled, but what can you do?

shell1973 · 15/08/2014 19:27

I like mine gone, usually down the plughole !

JudysPriest · 15/08/2014 19:30

.

Cookiemumster38 · 15/08/2014 19:32

Mines now greying which I find alarming and accelerated in comparison to my head; therefore I keep it short, shaped
but am not totally shaved. No problems with discussing pubes with friends one of my younger ones is currently having some laser removal treatment I thought that was fascinated!

littlemoot · 15/08/2014 19:39

DD's were horrified I don't go the whole hog .
I'm horrified that they do .
But then I'm ancient and wrinkly.
Quite happy with a little trim now and again

applecatchers36 · 15/08/2014 19:41

At bikram yoga in the communal showers am the only one with any hair down below :/

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 15/08/2014 19:43

I pick it all off the soap bar once a week and pop it in a small draw-string bag with a pinch of lavendar and a lucky penny Smile

Newmum0113 · 15/08/2014 19:54

wink I was discussing this with my mum the other day. I was talking about when I first got my pubic hair and I asked her do I need to shampoo and condition it. She laughed at me for days. She laughed at me again when I brought it up :-/

I personally get very hot in general and like to keep clean shaven (Hollywood wax when I've got money/going swimming!)

My friends have discussed preferences/differences/men's opinions of such plenty of times before. Yanbu. It's just a question :)

Newmum0113 · 15/08/2014 19:57

enormouse what a great idea :) I actually love it.

You're not doing it red though, are you? Hmm

jennysusie · 15/08/2014 20:04

Trimmed and shaved into a neat triangle. Now and again i take it all off to give dh a treat. Then get upset because i look like one of those hairless cats and it gets itchy as anything.

Lemele · 15/08/2014 21:07

I think wink1970 is right about 'younger' people (I use the term loosely). I was very into art at 15/16 and saw lots of nudes (modern fine art photography, that is, not old paintings) where they were shaved completely. I'd hated mine since they arrived at puberty (I also hated my hair which my mum made me wear long and now is always cut very very short! Grin) and was relieved to think that shaving was the done thing at least for some circles of society. Either way, I've not let them grow since then and the thought makes me go "eww".

But i'm definitely of the opinion that everyone else can grow theirs how they like! Smile

I had a lovely boyfriend who was quite obsessed with the BHT.
