I cant work out if it's because i went out with a welsh man who looked a bit like him or if it's all his own doing but i find myself quite liking a bit of Rob.

IBU arent I?

Saw him and Kenneth Branagh starring in a play in the Belfast Lyric a couple of years ago - they're both lovely and real gentlemen, shook my hand and had a chat with them afterwards Smile

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 10/08/2014 11:09

A work colleague went to school with Rhod Gilbert and said he was a complete arsehole. To be fair, he'd probably agree. He's a great value night out though-on stage for ages. All good.

Rob Brydon looks like my cousin so I couldn't go there. Apparently, his character in Gavin and Stacey was based quite closely on someone he knows irl.

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 10/08/2014 11:12

So which of them would be the most 'entertaining'?

I reckon RG could be filthy as fuck-in a good way Smile

DiaDuit · 10/08/2014 11:16

I reckon RG would be quite lethargic to a point where he couldnt actually be arsed.

RB would put on a show Grin

Yes as he is called chez Fuckery RHOD GILBERT!
Rob is luffly, but not in that way. Will always be Uncle Bryn.

CaptChaos · 10/08/2014 11:34

I totally see where you're coming from on the Rob Brydon front. He's mightily funny, and is, by all accounts a really nice man.

He also has twinkly eyes and that glorious accent.

DiaDuit · 10/08/2014 11:38

Yes capt that's it- the twinkly eyes and the lovely accent.

same as Billy Connolly Grin

PunkrockerGirl · 10/08/2014 12:08

He's very funny, which is attractive in itself imo.

MickeyLove1 · 10/08/2014 12:19

The trio & trip to Italy were sublime. However, I'd rather have Steve Coogan.

TSSDNCOP · 10/08/2014 14:07

You're welcome to Uncle Bryn if I can have David Mitchell.

Icelollycraving · 10/08/2014 14:14

I love him. Yanbu.

mumteedum · 10/08/2014 14:18

Shall I tweet a link to this thread? I follow him. Might be up for it Dia ;-)

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 10/08/2014 15:01

That's not fair TDss..... I started a thread about David aaaages ago when he first had his beard.

SirChenjin · 10/08/2014 15:04

He is, and always will be Uncle Bryn to me. Very funny, but very, very creepy.

Showy · 10/08/2014 15:08

I'm afraid David Mitchell is spoken for TSS and Lets. You can have Charlie Brooker between you and we'll do swapsies later.

WallyBantersJunkBox · 10/08/2014 15:10

If you love Rob Brydon, please please watch Human Remains, the series he did with Julia Davies.

I can't believe that series didn't get more attention than it did. The Brummy B&B swingers episode was just genius.

HauntedNoddyCar · 10/08/2014 15:13

Nothing to add. Just want to settle in on the couch with the rest of you Rob, Rhod and David Mitchell crushing weirdos. :)

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 10/08/2014 15:16

Charlie Brooker! Eeeeeewwww.

No ta.

Ohanarama · 10/08/2014 15:19

RB was kind of attractive in the Trip but totally overshadowed by the Steve Coogan - he's getting way better with age!

TSSDNCOP · 10/08/2014 15:22

Showy that's not even a close exchange. And who nominated you as Charlie's pimp pray Grin

WallyBantersJunkBox · 10/08/2014 15:26
LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 10/08/2014 15:42

Charlie Brooker's pimp. That'd be a thankless job, if ever there was one.

EvansOvalPiesYumYum · 10/08/2014 15:45

I used to work in the sweetshop as a weekend girl when I was at school in the road in which Rob Brydon grew up, in Port Talbot. I must have served him with a quarter of midget gems or a bag of penny sweets on many occasions Grin (Can't say I remember him, though).

Rhod Gilbert is funny and weirdly attractive also, but I agree, he always does look as though he needs a good bath.

SirChenjin · 10/08/2014 16:08

Steve Coogan - he's getting way better with age

So agree - I would absolutely do that man

DiaDuit · 10/08/2014 17:10

Shall I tweet a link to this thread? I follow him. Might be up for it Dia

I was going to say yes, please do but he might be hurt by the naysayers? couldn't have him feeling rejected. might affect his confidence. Shock
