It wouldn't bother me as long as they're not double-dipping. But, it's your tea, tell them to stop.

Squidstirfry · 06/08/2014 16:52

Haa no. Not in my OWN tea! that's so gross.

Notso · 06/08/2014 17:08

Urgh no YANBU. I hate crummy tea.

MagratsHair · 06/08/2014 17:09

Biscuit dipping is dreadful & should not be allowed ever!

but then I don't like biscuits....

EmmanuelWoganberry · 06/08/2014 17:11

YANBU, biscuit dipping is lovely but you don’t want someone elses biscuit smush in your mug!

My toddler has just learned to dunk - she actually just drops her biscuit in my tea then applauds herself Hmm

NuggetofPurestGreen · 06/08/2014 17:11

YANBU! I misread at first and thought you weren't letting them dip their biscuits in their own tea. But you can't dip biscuits in someone else's tea!!!!

5madthings · 06/08/2014 17:15

Yanbu dunking only in one's own cup of tea!

diddl · 06/08/2014 17:25

Your friend is odd!

Dipping in other folks tea??!!

I'm thinking that they don't have their own tea, but just randomly dip biscuits into available tea?

Teddybeau1988 · 06/08/2014 17:28

Argh hate it! Especially when they dunk the whole biscuit and their fingers get submerged. Then said wet fingers go back into the biscuit packet.

DH is such a dunker

Imsuchamess · 06/08/2014 17:35

Yanbu now the people I know who dip toast in tea and then drink the tea with a film of Marge on the top are!

KnackeredMuchly · 06/08/2014 18:02

Urgh! Yanbu

WitchWay · 06/08/2014 18:03

Urgh I hate dunking - even worse when other people are dunking in my drink!!

ShakeYourTailFeathers · 06/08/2014 18:08

DH is a double dunker - two biccies at once Shock

no, no, and thrice no to someone else using MY tea for dunking....

Yepyep333 · 06/08/2014 18:12

Haha thanks for the replies! Yes it was my tea and the children didn't have a cup but wanted to dip their biscuits in mine! Biscuit

Gah! Wet biscuits. I just don't get it.

ADishBestEatenCold · 06/08/2014 19:38

YANBU.

Biscuits with coffee. Toast with tea.

Allalonenow · 06/08/2014 19:39

YANBU

EmmanuelWoganberry · 06/08/2014 19:44

Toast dipped in tea?! Shock why would you want butter in your tea?

PureMorning · 06/08/2014 19:45

If any man, woman or child dipped anything in my tea they would lose their bloody arm

Yanbu

WafflesandWhippedCream · 06/08/2014 19:47

If they are being dipped in MY tea, then it is close family only - I let my DC, bit wobbly about it but will let my nephew so he isn't left out, friends kids, no way!

ADishBestEatenCold · 06/08/2014 20:11

"Toast dipped in tea?!" Grin

Noooo. I meant biscuits should be eaten with coffee and toast eaten with tea (if either are eaten with a drink at all, of course).

No dipping.

EvansOvalPiesYumYum · 06/08/2014 20:13

My Welsh Nanna used to dip her buttered toast in her tea (Bleurgh)

EvansOvalPiesYumYum · 06/08/2014 20:17

I used to like a Rich Tea Biscuit or a Ginger Nut dipped in my own cup of tea (but would never let another person do it, no matter how little they were or how much they might cry and beg).

Can't do it now, as I don't like the taste of tea after an illness a couple of years ago, and don't eat much sweet stuff any longer either.

Aah, memories . . .

EvansOvalPiesYumYum · 06/08/2014 20:20

Joskar - Gah! Wet biscuits. I just don't get it

Not completely wet, just a bit damp and flavoured. Wet is no good, they'll just fall in Grin

EvansOvalPiesYumYum · 06/08/2014 20:22

Actually, I seem to remember chocolate digestives were good for dunking, 'cos the chocolate goes a bit melty. Mmmm!
