It cant be!

Watching the Adam and Joe show on the Sky thingy, and everything on there, including the show itself, is only a few years old.

Please tell me it is, otherwise I am watching a program that I watched as an adult but is almost 20 years old.

Oh and 1984 was only 5 minutes before that, because if it isnt then I am officially old and my record collection is laughable!

Somehow I have a tattoo which is 20 years old, which must be a mistake as I am still 19...

0pheliaBalls · 29/07/2014 21:26

DD was conceived in 1996 which must make her six, tops. I have no idea who the six foot A level student who eats all the food in my house is, though.

0pheliaBalls · 29/07/2014 21:26

Wilbur I do that too! Grin

I can't read past the first page of this thread as I am laughing so much at the knockers/knickers!!!! That is the closest I have come to spitting my tea all over my lap top!!!

CouldntGiveAMonkeysToss · 29/07/2014 22:27

I didn't even have knockers in 1996! I'd have been about to start year 4, we got a new headteacher that year who introduced school uniform and had a fence built around the school.
It's strange to think that headteacher will be retired now.

Happydaysatlastforthebody · 29/07/2014 22:40

I got married in 1988! Had my first child in 1989!

He's now 6 ft 2 and built like an oxe.

This cannot be. I was a new romantic.

BlackeyedSusan · 29/07/2014 22:41

1978 remember it well... seems only a few years ago since I was of out to play...

I freak my children out by telling them my Grandmother was a Victorian born before the turn of the centuary.. (and no there has not been another one since, no way!)

HeeHiles · 29/07/2014 23:22

I was chatting a woman in my office (could well have been during the 90's - not sure Blush ) I gushed 'Do you remember the summer of '76? Those long hot hot summer days and nights.....?' Nah! I was only 2!!!! she replied, felt bloody old that day!!

Then another time I was working in recruitment - I DO remember the year was 1994 - a moment of clarity ;-) some one sent me a CV - dob 1982 or something, called them in for an interview and there's this big man sitting in front of me Shock He should only have been about 10 not 18!!

I talk to my children about the olden days (except the 90's - I gloss over that bit Wink )

Voodoobooboo · 29/07/2014 23:31

Took my DS to see Iron Maiden last year and realised, to my horror, that my crush on Bruce Dickinson has entered its 25th year. How the actual fuck did that happen?

Mind you, still would........

HeeHiles · 30/07/2014 00:03

I never used to understand my nana telling me she felt the same in her 50s as in her 20s

I so get that!

mustbetimeforacreamtea · 30/07/2014 00:04

blackeyedsusan my grandad was a Victorian too. To me 1976 seems like 20 yrs ago - 1996 was about 5 years ago. Never was brilliant at maths

HeeHiles · 30/07/2014 00:12

Never was brilliant at maths

Stay that way! I'm trying really hard not to work out how long ago 1976 was, I'm scared! I don't want to know how long I've been waiting for another summer like that one Shock

clicketyclick66 · 30/07/2014 00:17

YANBU, that's the year I got married! I like to think I haven't aged a bit then I look in the mirror

Bogeyface · 30/07/2014 00:20

VoodooI would still do BD, he is lush in a dirty way! Did you read his books, they were fucked up!

Monday sadly my knockers are considerably older than 18 years!
