Plenty of life in them.

Oh lord women daren't have a laugh at people blatantly taking the piss, otherwise we're witches. Hmm

I like the image you've cooked up though. Good imagination.

CatKisser · 26/07/2014 14:34

Jeggings, most people who use these sites manage to have good manners and not take the piss. If I com across someone with breath taking rudeness or selling a filthy item for a huge price, I will comment!

Aeroflotgirl · 26/07/2014 14:41

Errr happy, minging. The only thing they should be destined for us the dustbin! Not even a brand make!

Aeroflotgirl · 26/07/2014 14:44

Omg morphine is that even safe! I got my brand new gas BBQ from asda for that price!

HarrietSchulenberg · 26/07/2014 15:00

Someone round here seems to be selling an awful lot of Beats by Dre headphones. Variety of colours too. Must have been really disappointed when he got so many unwanted gifts Grin .

Mrsjayy · 26/07/2014 15:04

Oh Harriet it must be such a bind having excess headphones Grin

annielouisa · 26/07/2014 15:34

Ours used to be annoying people selling dogs and cats or not putting prices on their items. The admin got tough no price and location no ad and all sale of pets banned. Any rude posts quickly deleted.

We did put an ad after my DGS lost his precious toy lion in town and someone posted that one had been handed in at a local store. One happy boy and faith in human nature restored.

KnackeredMuchly · 26/07/2014 15:41

The one that sends me bonkers is wanting it free "I can take it off your hands"

Grrr

WilburIsSomePig · 26/07/2014 15:59

I put a kids bike on local Fb page for £25. Someone offered me £24.50 for it (couldn't quite manage that extra 50p) and asked if I could deliver. When I said no, it wouldn't fit in my car anyway, he asked if I could ride it over to his house ten miles away.

spongebob5 · 26/07/2014 16:12

Lol@ glittery covered Blossom Hill, I can top that! I've seen a glittery covered WKD bottle, with matching glittery covered wine glass!I obviously live in an extremely chavvy classy area.

Mrsjayy · 26/07/2014 16:24

Oh ive seen glittery wkd too

Aeroflotgirl · 26/07/2014 17:21

Wilber cheeky git, I hope you told him where to go.

D0oinMeCleanin · 26/07/2014 18:01

My sis wouldn't do glittery wine bottles because she was worried about licensing laws Grin

They did coasters instead.

Oscarandelliesmum · 26/07/2014 18:36

Bike (photo clearly shows it had no wheels) 60 euros. Needs a little tlc. Hmmm
Another one states. Kids bike for sale. Bought for my son but only used for a few weeks as he didn't like it. I am selling it for full price, 100 euros. Umm, ok then. Or I could just buy a new one......

myotherusernameisbetter · 26/07/2014 18:53

Oh well, absolute classic now - I had bought a few pairs of Superdry canvas shoes on the ebay outlet - 1 pair for me and a pair each for my sons. In the end, none of us wore them and we've been on holiday now, we have enough other pairs so I listed them on a couple of my local selling sites. Box price was £45(mine) and £40 (the two mens pairs) I paid around the £20. So I listed them at £20 and sold two pairs straightaway - just got one men's pair to shift.

I've been out for the day and come home to this message (my name isn't Anna btw :) so a mistake right from the start):

Anna should you sell the black slip ons size 6 for £10 as my partner is in a wheelchair so doesn't. Need expensive shoes x

This was my response:

well, apart from the fact that they are already sold, whilst I am totally sympathetic to your partners condition, whether he or she needs expensive shoes or not is not really the point. The shoes have a ticket price of £45 - I can only suggest that you look for cheaper shoes - you could pick up unbranded ones for a fiver. x

Harsh??

MrsWinnibago

I agree with what you are saying to a point and it is a great service for those without much, but my original point was that it wouldn't hurt to empty and ashtray or run a hoover etc before taking the pic - incidentally on an expensive smartphone and posting them using internet access, so not like they are living in a cardboard box on the street.

Some people are desperate....a lot of people are cheeky bastards.

I'm on a local furniture selling FB page where there was a massive barny over whether or not a computer desk was furniture. Confused It was hilarious with loads of posters getting involved. In the end the admin decided a computer desk is NOT furniture (what the fudge is it then?) so now deletes listings of them. Bonkers.

I've sold and bought a few things but have no narrowed it down to 2 pages where the sellers/buyers are a bit more trustworthy.

PurplePidjin · 26/07/2014 20:36

Seen today on mine:

Can anybody sort me out

I dread to think what exactly he wanted "sorting"

I was tempted to ask if he needed an alien invasion sorting, or perhaps he was in the midst of a school of vicious piranha

MrsWinnibago · 26/07/2014 20:53

I'm going to glitter up an old china boot like Brewster's pic and charge 50 quid apiece.
