To want to set the record straight about the Cedar Falls Nurse In

Mamagiraffe · 14/07/2014 13:27

I am organising the peaceful protest OUTSIDE THE GATES of Cedar Falls. The protest is not taking place because Victoria tried to take an under 16 to an age-restricted place expecting special treatment it is because the spa have cancelled her booking rather than allowing her to make alternative arrangements. Whatever has happened in the past is immaterial and I am horrified by the muck-raking and bullying instigated here last night. I, personally, do not condone the online attack on their Facebook page but that is of course up to the individual., I have also requested members of the event to remove any they may have already posted but I have no power to do so. For those who are uninformed breastfeeding at 1 is not only recommended but it aids nutrition, soothing and attachment- for Victoria's child they may or may not have required a feed during this weekend but provision needed to be in place to facilitate this and it would be unfair for the child not to ensure this is possible, this does not mean that a nursing mother must be sequestered away from living a normal adult life for the duration. The rights regarding discrimination is to protect the right of the breastfeeding mother to do so. I won't be returning here to fight the fight but as MNHQ deleted the last thread I have had to start my own to give you my own twopence'th if anybody wants to contact us for more information the email address is [email protected]

Do people not go to a spa to get a break from life and kids in general?? I'm going to one with a friend who also has a baby, neither of us even considered bringing the babies. We want to drink champagne and have a proper sleep and lie in!

yestheyhavethesamedad · 14/07/2014 16:55

Can someone please pm me the facebook page

TheFairyCaravan · 14/07/2014 16:56

If I pitched up for a weekend away in an adults only hotel and there was a baby/toddler/kid I'd kick off not be pleased!

SistersOfPercy · 14/07/2014 16:58

I don't want a galaxy in my pants! It would melt! (though an ex boyfriend told me mars bars were good once Blush)

On the plus side, toddler with head in hand dryer could have his hair dried reeeealy quickly without those cumbersome hairdryers. It could catch on you know. Wash hair, nip child down to John Lewis, insert child in dryer.
You could do a whole newborn in one of those dyson ones!

SistersOfPercy · 14/07/2014 17:25

I've found it. I've seen the galaxy in my pants (not literally). I'd go to the loo, look down and wonder if I'd had a prolapse tbh.

londonrach · 14/07/2014 17:29

I'm surprised there us a market for it. The tie dye one.... All I can say is a fool and their money are easier parted. Oh well each to their tie dye...

TurnOverTheTv · 14/07/2014 17:31

newsecretidentity · 14/07/2014 17:31

Well, I can't see any sparkles on those fanjo flaps at all. I can't tell you how disappointed I feel about all this.

See, this is why the last thread should've stayed! She put it out there to encourage people's opinions! It can't all go her way!

GrannyOnTheSchoolRun · 14/07/2014 17:41

As someone who breast fed one of her children for 2 years and 9 months I think the Op is over egging the pudding with regard to the benefits of breast feeding a one year old.

That said, its really is nice to see that the message sent to VL and her pals in the original thread is exactly the same as whats being said here - you were being deliberately provocative, are totally out of order, and giving breast feeding a bad name.

And a big up to CF for playing such a canny hand and not being scared into submission by the antics of VL and her pals.

Ive been to CF a few times, its a bit tired looking but still a very nice experience and this palaver will only ever make me go back.

CatsCantTwerk · 14/07/2014 17:45

Can someone pretty please pm me the business page? :)

SistersOfPercy · 14/07/2014 17:50

Though I suspect MNHQ are keeping a close eye.

Maybe whispers MNHQ have sparkly fanjo flaps themselves...

taps nose knowingly

CatsCantTwerk · 14/07/2014 17:52

Galaxy in Your pants?? Wow ...just ...Wow Grin

HaroldLloyd · 14/07/2014 17:53

MNHQ must be worried about a sit in.

Doesn't take much by all accounts.

GrannyOnTheSchoolRun · 14/07/2014 17:53

And this bit about her calling and asking if the baby was allowed to stay overnight and being told no, then asking if her husband could bring him to the car park for a feed.

If VL is the one who went to some weekend child free workshop or something and did the same thing there - asked if he could come for a feed and then went on to keep the baby with her overnight, you can hardly blame CF for thinking clever and guessing she must might try and pull a similar stunt at her CF weekend.

londonrach · 14/07/2014 17:53

Cats no sparkly so disappointed and going to have nightmares re the tie dyed ones....

AgaPanthers · 14/07/2014 17:56

Starry starry cunt
Paint your fanjo blue and grey
Look out on a summer's day
With boobs that are engorged with milk
