That's what my son's new tattoo on his chest says. It supposed to finish ..."than a loaded gun".

Thoughts please?

Don't worry, OP, SaucyJack has just proved that some women think misogyny is okay if the man is good in bed, so he might find someone inane enough to fall for him in the future Hmm

Also it's no better than women who get dumped and then put up a load of bitter "men are all liars" type cartoons on facebook every day :)

In case your son thinks I only disapprove of men being sexist Wink

Perhaps he is gay and doesn't care what women think of his tattoo?

That would genuinely be frightening to reveal for a woman being intimate with someone for the first time. How would he feel about being rejected by a potential partner when he's started undressing?

Is it in Comic Sans?

Those lyrics are appalling. What IS dangerous is your DS's current mindset. IMO.

Maybe he's a sadist and is already planning the, very painful, tattoo removal. Smile

He'd better keep his fingers crossed that social change slows down to glacial speed, because something that is "edgy" in terms of sexism in 2014 is going to sound absolutely awful in 2044.

Thirty years ago this is what was okay: www.legalcheek.com/2014/07/no-computers-smoking-in-the-office-and-a-comment-about-a-female-trainees-backside-this-video-of-slaughter-and-may-from-1981-is-incredible/

This is not being republished today because people still think it's funny, but to ridicule them. He will end up regretting this tattoo.

If I'd raised a misogynist, I'm not sure I'd be quick to tell people, even on an anonymous forum

Unfair.

It's a battle fought against society so unless the op locked her Ds in a cupboard till adult life I think we can assume she's not to blame for this one.

Is it not misogynistic to blame a mother for having a misogynistic child?

I am with Yama here.

Only an idiot would stay with a man with such a tattoo.

I think he can only get out of this by saying something like

"than a fluffy bunnyrabbit"

"than a rainbow unicorn"

"than a chocolate cupcake"

Report
OxfordBags · 11/07/2014 12:37

Quint, that would just be positing women as pathetic and fluffy, though.

True. Bad suggestion.

Would make it acceptable :o

I think it best if it's not finished - then it can be all mysterious and he could play it however he wants in the future.

The whole planned sentence screams bitter and twisted - what future girl wants to deal with that - unless like LongTimeLurking suggests he wants to drive all possible future females away?

MangoBiscuit · 11/07/2014 12:42

I'd be completing it with markers everytime he nodded off!

before you bring her her morning coffee

But what if future girl friend is one of those odd people who doesn't drink coffee ?

True Lemon but at least it only puts off non coffee drinkers, not everyone...

SaucyJack · 11/07/2014 12:48

Actually, IMO you can't be good in bed if you're a misogynist oxford (unless you enjoy being used as a glorified wank sock). A sexist pig certainly, but men who really hate women make crap lovers.
