I think the tartan is actually quite nice, but the blue shirts/dresses are horrible. It all would have looked much better with cream or stone shirts. And the women should have trousers (or skirt) in a solid of one of the tartan colours (possibly the green) and a cream/stone shirt to match the men to go with the tartan shawl. Those wrap dresses looks really cheap and flimsy, and they don't fit properly. Why is a handbag part of the uniform?

Seems a little harsh to kick them out of the UK though, it's not as though other countries always get it right.

I agree with GrowlLikeMargeSimpson The dresses and shirts are horrible I feel if they were a slightly darker blue then it would look better. The bag and the sweatshirts aren't so bad as they are a much darker shade of blue.

Yes - I can see the problem with the 'shitty' brown socks - which I note are only worn by the men-folk - would look really worse with the ladies. But, what colour socks would go better - canary yellow? Red?
Green - yes, but no but... Let's rename "shitty" as "earthy".

Actually why are the women's handbag/sporrans white? Now THAT is out of order - they should all be brown handbag/pseodo-sporrans and there should be a choice for both men and women to wear white or brown.

Think muddlings idea for swimmers is great (without the pouch -water drag and all) and would make a fabulous material for female swimmers.

But I wear quite quirky outfits and often mix tartan with floral etc. so it appeals to me.

I dont mind it so much, its the socks that do it for me. The girls outfits are fine, the boys could do with some work.
