To be jealous of the Beckhams?!

Right. I'm a huge Wimbledon fan. I've camped out, queued up, gone into the Ballot every year trying to get tickets (been successful twice in about 30 years) and yet I've just seen the Beckhams arrive for the Mens Final.

VB is all dolled up like she's on the catwalk, DB is suited and booted and they have one of the best seats in the house. Is this fair? Nope. Because real tennis fans can't get to see the sport they love. I'd think far more of them if just occasionally they donated their special seats to a Tennis Club so a real fan me could fulfil their dream of seeing the Mens Final.

I know 'money talks' but even if I had the money I still couldn't get to the Mens Finals because I'm not famous. Angry

Rant over.

I'm not AIBU am I....or am I?!

Mrs Fed. used to look quite normal, didn't she?
Now she looks like she bleeds money.

XiX · 06/07/2014 15:48

Id have triplets for him for a diamond that size Confused Grin

XiX · 06/07/2014 15:49

I'm team 'sitting on the fence' 'but slightly leaning towards Novak Djo'

londonrach · 06/07/2014 15:52

Both of them went to the toilet same time... Ok back to the match.

Roussette · 06/07/2014 15:53

Yes you can see every bit of a shot at home but nothing an beat the atmosphere, it's just fantastic to be sat on the edge of your -very hard-- seat with thousands of others all holding your breath during a long rally...

Come tomorrow I will be bereft because I'm missing it so much

I want Fed to win because I'd like to see him make history with eight Open era wins, and time must be running out for him. Djoko is five years younger than him so still has time to rack up a couple more wins after this.

londonrach · 06/07/2014 15:54

Laurie honestly it is better at home.....(can't be bothered to queue etc and is trying to convince myself although if had ticket I'd be there now.....)

Roussette · 06/07/2014 15:56

Oh god... Princess Pushy is there with her bearded husband... and even the commentataors are sleb spotting now... pah

I'd give my right ovary to be there today.

First year I haven't been at all for 20 years.

Roussette · 06/07/2014 15:58

How do you manage that Laurie?? Do you queue?

LaurieFairyCake · 06/07/2014 16:10

Yes, any day the first week, got draw tickets a few times, the Olympic one was the best bargain ever. - cost £12

Bearbehind · 06/07/2014 16:13

I was surprised at how uncomfortable and insecure VB looked when they just focused on her.

She was fidgeting and didn't know where to put her hands as David was looking the other way.

TSSDNCOP · 06/07/2014 16:13

Love it when normal people realise they're on telly and go berserk Grin

Roussette · 06/07/2014 16:13

Fantastic. Wish I lived closer.

That was some ace serving game by Roger there...

Yes agree Bear... she seemed really twitchy, most odd.

Bearbehind · 06/07/2014 16:16

I think that's why all the pouting and posing she does pisses me off, it's all an act.

He is a hugely talented and personable man and if she hadn't married him she'd be unheard of now.

Roussette · 06/07/2014 16:20

I'm damn sure she's probably far better and more fun in real life. She just looks so bloody miserable all the time and her not smiling thingy has now got boring AFAIC.

I'm not convinced- she really didn't know where to put herself just then and she wouldn't have even known she was on telly.

LucyStafford · 06/07/2014 16:27

VB looks like she's had new surgery.

TSSDNCOP · 06/07/2014 16:33

It'd be great if the camera suddenly panned on her and she started waving madly and mouthing "alright kids" to Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper.

Roussette · 06/07/2014 16:34

Oooooh this is getting exciting

waterducksback · 06/07/2014 16:34

I wonder why she doesn't smile? She must have the best teeth money can buy.
If it is a gimmick (the pouting thing), she must realise that people don't like it and it's not doing her any favours.

Unless of course, she has gone so long without smiling in public that she thinks people will take the pee if she Does crack one...thinking Wednesday Adams!

SinglePringle · 06/07/2014 16:39

Her dress is beautiful. I reckon she's had her lips done again and she looks lovely but am surprised as how knackered she looks in the Daily Mail online photos

Roussette · 06/07/2014 16:41

I actually think she hasn't got a very pretty smile. When she does, she doesn't look attractive and she's realised that. However, she forgets how a smile can light up a persons face even if it isn't the most attractive of smiles. She just looks so bloody miserable all the time. One pic of her at Wimbledon in the press looks like she's been crying even which I'm sure she hasn't. It's just her default look and it's boring afaic.

I think she's always been one of the 'classier' wags.
