'Why isn't my child Mary' syndrome

AIBU to get irritated by parents who complain to the school when their DC doesn't get a good part in a production?

I can't possibly have this syndrome, as my DD is playing Mary

I had it for myself though, I only ever got to be an Oxen

My child was a fab Mary today

In fact the dancing sheep stole the show!

Ds1 was a cowboy (not sure what he was doing at the nativity) Ds2 was always a narrator as he could read loudly and accuratly, that and he was a pig one year. Dd has been a Bee and a Ladybird, and this year is a Nana.
