It's up there will 'hollibobs' for me.

I think the sentence 'off on hollibobs with the hubster' (which I've just seen on FB) might tip me over the edge.

Nibbly bits.
Sipsies and nibbles.
Anything nibble-related, really.

I'm also in the 'hubby' is worse camp.

What's a sipsie ? Is it the same as drinky poos ?
I am guilty of many of these, but i do it in a tongue in cheek sort of way, which makes me a cool dudio. Wink

I once stayed with someone for a fortnight. Every night around 10pm she'd say to her boyfriend "Time for sleepy-bo-bo's". Every fucking night.

And agree with everything upthread other than 'nibbly bits' used sparingly as it was a favourite of my late Pa to suggest a glass of wine and some 'nibbly bits' as a late night snack.

I don't know why but the word snacks gets right on my nerves.

Hubby & hubster make me feel physically ill.

I also despise parent's calling their young son "lil man" "little man" etc... What's wrong with "Son"??

I fucking hate, with a passion, the phrase din-dins. 'You off for din-dins then?' No I am off for my fucking dinner... I'm 3fucking6 Angry

I had a colleague that used to say it to me a lot. She was very patronising in other ways as well but that was the one that grated. I asked her nicely not to say it. She said it more. I gave her the death stare. She accused me of having no sense of humour. I refused to speak to her until she apologised.

Neither of us came out of it well...

Hon and Uni make my teeth itch. Shortening university is just lazy and sounds sloppy. same as saying telly instead of television. Saying a few more syllables is not going to kill anyone.

Agree with hating hubster, hollibobs, nom noms, hun/hunni etc. as I have FB friends that regularly use them Hmm I also hate the use of the word messy, as in 'Last night was well messi!' Angry Wtf? Why? Angry

Cool beans. Angry

That gives me the rage. There's a man I know vaguely through work who signs all his e-mails off in this way.

WTF does it even mean?

Cool chuffin beans.

My SIL aways adds to the end of her status updates about her kids

"Bless her" or worse "Bless her cotton socks"

She also uses Hollibobs and Hubby.

If I see Hubster she will be be on hide.

I have another acquaintance who simply lists the chores she has done that day (normal stuff) and adds "phew, exhausted, time for feet up and a coffee lol" Every.single.day.
