Not really an ibu but it's a nice thread so sue me.

I got my first pay check in 5 years so I thought I'd treat my self to some perfume, I'm a cleaner so it can't be to fancy or I'd feel silly.

Iv tried a few but I can't find any I like.

Has any one got or tried amazing grace by philosophy?

What's your favourite perfume and why?

I've tried a few, but my DP always says he prefers the smell of fresh sweat :)

I almost brought jimmy choo, though not the flash.. The sent wasn't bad but it was the owning 'chimmy choo' perfume that was pulling me.. Shallow as that is...

I'm glad I didn't though as soon as I put it on me and left it for a bit it was to sickly and fruity on me.

Its amazing really How different perfumes react to your own body chemicals and can smell differently on different people.

I just ordered some of the dov from the perfume parlour great pricing, shall be book marking it for future use, also found allbeuaty.com was well priced to, some are less than half price store prices.. Like the jimmy choo edp for 23 instead of 40..

Thank you for all your help Smile

Shall be going to town to try grace collection to, though it does sound what I'm after, little excited to actually smell it and see if it's lived upto what I'm thinking it smells like.

I love good old Chanel No 5 - have worn it for many years and have never found a perfume I preferred. The only problem is that eventually you become immune to the one you wear all the time and can't smell it any more! Other people can though!

I've heard good stuff about the perfume parlour dove one
I have one called pure soap which is from the library of fragrance (google should bring it up)
My favourite is too expensive but I got some on eBay Grin which is by maison martin margiela and is called lazy Sunday morning. Description is "soft skin and bed linen"

I love J'adore by Christian Dior. It's not a bit like I thought it was going to be from the adverts - I got a free sample when I bought some make up years ago and I've worn it ever since.

There's so much choice now it's hard to know where to start.

Ghost Eclipse is my new favourite. I got a sample & tried it. Went in to kiss DS goodbye before going to work & he sleepily said 'you smell lovely, mum'

Another Viv Boudoir fan here. It's really retro glam with a sweet powdery top. Like a forties whore's dressing table.

DP always knows his luck is in when I put it on.

Have you tried Burberry Weekend for men? It's very fresh and grapefruity. I love it. It's a citrus scent that is aimed at men but tbh I think it's more of a fresh unisex scent. I often see it on offer.

Apart from this scent all the scents I love are so expensive! Oh, I also like Inis but it doesn't last long. It's another nice day scent, and not floral or musky which I don't like,

If I could only ever wear one scent again and had to commit, I'd say ck one. It's just so fresh.

I like cristalle as well. But it's a bit stronger. I need a break from that every now and then. I like Dune as well but I need a break from it too.
Ck One is the only one I can wear for ever. I used to love gucci envy but they discontinued it.

Lots of great smelly tips here but don't forget that perfumes smell different on different people so make sure you try a tester on yourself before buying. My friend wears the most gorgeous perfume and it smells yukky on me. I've worn Ted Baker Woman for years and love it, it's a lovely daytime scent, and Captivating by Ghost for evenings out - still quite a light perfume but a bit more interesting. Each to their own!

If you like Amazing Grace you will probably also like Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker. Bodycare often have that cheap.

CK obsession is somewhere between Imperial leather and Sandalwood soap.

it's the only perfume I can wear, though I don't bother with any, anymore.

I like fruity scents Smile so any of the dkny delicious range but especially red delicious. I also like d&g light blue.

Kylie minogue darling is also a favourite. I love her perfume in general but they are only available for a while before they discontinue. I love showtime because it kind of smelled like sherbert Grin
