What is that video? Does anyone know, please tell me, it said 98% of people couldn't watch it. I can't look at the picture. Why would someone post that stuff on fb? It's so odd.

The images plays on a weird condition called trypophobia, which is a fear of holes. It creeps a lot of people out, so the usual internet trolls think it's funny to put up creepy skin hole pictures.

The image of the breast with holes usually comes along with some story about a woman wearing a new bra without washing it or covering her breast with a bandage for some injury, and when she takes it off finds loads of holes with insects/eggs in them. It's just an urban myth, the image has been proved to a photoshopped combination of a breast and a lotus seed head.

The one on FB is a photo shop, but it has links to real situations.

The links lead to larvae being removed from breasts etc.

Some of them are questionable tbh, it's as though the doctors have set them up so they can sell the videos to certain sites.

The further links then lead to all sorts of larvae/maggots being removed from different body parts, including genitals.

Don't click it! It won't open and will put some sort of virus on your wall which all your fb friends will see, and some will click, thus it spreads. I despair at the stuff some of my friends like & share sometimes!

I didn't click but have read on friends fb that it doesn't play but is a virus that once clicked on is automatically shared by you as an fb post

Thank you! I've been trying to tell people it's a scam but they've insisted it's a genuine thing, raising awareness!! This did the rounds years ago, way before FB, with the story a pp mentioned about a bra made in a foreign country and a women getting infested with lavae. Just google lotus seed head people, it's clearly a photoshop!

It's a fake video of tumbu fly eggs, which unfortunately are real and absolutely disgusting.

Eww yes its totally fucking grim, and i have unfortunately seen it pop up a few times on my newsfeed, haven't clicked it tho, cos its so obvious what it is. Wtf is wrong with peoples.

it is of particular creepiness to me, as i am trying to wean DD 21mo off the breast - when do i mostly go on FB - yes, when I'm stuck in bed bf her, so to see that pic really gives me heebee jeebies!! (My first thought was, aargh, the baby will choke on the seeds. Which means i have definitely been bf for Too Long. Lol.)

i have also reported it to FB twice apparently it doesn't breach their standards. You might know FB has recently changed its policy regarding breast pictures, as breastfeeding photos were incorrectly being classed as porn etc. So maybe some weirdo has taken advantage of the fact that you can now have breasts on FB, i think maybe its been allowed as it isn't showing an actual nipple ifyswim

Well I've at least learned that my fear of holes has a name! Trypophobia. I get weirded out if I ever cut into a carrot or courgette etc with holes running through it.

I bloody love crumpets! I don't mind the holes unless they are on a body then the revulsion is really bad. I know a few people who are afraid of shower heads and the like, but anything man made is ok by me.

There has been a few threads on MN about the phobia before, there were lots of links to pics on it (for anyone WANTING to see that kind of thing, go fill yer boots haha)

Fortunately my phobia doesn't extend to crumpets. Any holes designed to be filled with melted butter are OK by me

It's a hack. If you see it on a friend's feed, report as spam then choose "my friend's been hacked".

Snopes dates the exact image and story being used to send viruses from 2003...
