Did we already do pirates? shame...we could have had a longest telescope competition.

We have done Pirates, Bandits, Ambassadors, Sheiks (whoah, that was steamy) and others

iK8 · 21/06/2014 00:25

But lo, what news from the front?

IceBeing · 21/06/2014 00:26

Mayhap we should celebrate the impending solstice? I know the good ladies of the hall like a nice henge of an afternoon? Maybe a little light dancing, followed by the awarding of a rosette for the 'best decorated pole'.

MadameDefarge · 21/06/2014 00:27

OOh, sexy druids and maidens draped in ivy and stuff...

MadameDefarge · 21/06/2014 00:28

The front? are we talking the Peninsular Wars here?

I believe the siege of Bajadoz was a bloody and painful affair...

IceBeing · 21/06/2014 00:30

hmm maybe not - Cook is sharpening her knives...I believe she is planning a sacrifice!

It's so very hard to get goat blood out of lace.....

MadameDefarge · 21/06/2014 00:31

I have heard tell that MistressHully has been imbibing a bit too freely over at the Manor House tonight. The Squire's homebrew proved a tad too strong for her maidenly constitution.

She was last seen being shovelled into bed by cook and a distinctly slatternly maid servant while singing saucy songs I dare not name.

IceBeing · 21/06/2014 00:34

Well that explains the distressing scene I encountered on my way over to the hall.

I was quite put off my rabbit tongue canapes.

MadameDefarge · 21/06/2014 00:38

Indeed it would Ice, indeed it would. How she hopes to maintain discipline here with that kind of behaviour I know not.

I think an intervention in the library tomorrow is called for.

ShakyTheStork · 21/06/2014 00:45

Dearest Hully Gully

May I be so rude to politely request an invitation to your ball.

I promise not to drink all of the mead and be sick on Maryz's shoes, sing "I feel like a woman" by Shania Twain or blatantly flirt with the sexiest waiter on the menu. Honest

IceBeing · 21/06/2014 00:46

I think an exorcism might be more the order of the day...I shall call the Bishop!

I will, of course, warn him that he will need to bring along several of the more promising deacons along with him in order to contain the shear size of the threat to our modesty and morality.

IceBeing · 21/06/2014 00:46

ahhh see the unsavoury element is already being drawn in....

MadameDefarge · 21/06/2014 00:48

No invitation is required. dear Shaky, any decent gal of ample proportions and a keen zest for life is welcome. Ignore Ice.

MadameDefarge · 21/06/2014 00:49

Besides, Hully will be a bit preoccupied twirling her head around her shoulders and shouting at the Bishop in Cod Latin.

IceBeing · 21/06/2014 00:50

We are lost! LOST I tell you...and who will look after dear Mr. Rochester now?

IceBeing · 21/06/2014 00:52

Does anyone know how to get ectoplasm out of a periwig?

I think I shall retreat to the safety of the herb shed....

MadameDefarge · 21/06/2014 00:52

Mr Rochester's devotion to Hully is such that no behaviour could tear him from her ample bosom.

Fear not.

I alas, pine for the Sheik something rotten.

MadameDefarge · 21/06/2014 00:54

why Ice, Maiden juice will do the trick!

That panacea of all ills!

A quick soak overnight and your periwig (why are you wearing a periwig? are you in disguise as a footman?) will be restored.

Slumber gently 'midst the fragrant herbage.

I also must retire to plan some menus.

IceBeing · 21/06/2014 00:59

it is not my head adornment that has suffered a glooping...I just happened to be in rather close proximity to someone who had, due to enthusiastic exercise, felt the need to remove his.

MadameDefarge · 21/06/2014 01:05

My head is spinning now.

A soothing tisane is called for.

IceBeing · 21/06/2014 09:50

Has madame Hully surfaced yet today? Maybe we need to send the Bishop back in to sort her out.

MadameDefarge · 21/06/2014 10:20

Oh, she will still be at her toilette; choosing a nice underskirt and debating where to place her patches.
