I have cook making champagne possets and elderflower flapjacks.

The floors are polished, the band a little rusty.

Mr Rochester is in good cheer despite the creeping necrosis.

TantrumsAndBalloons · 19/06/2014 13:22

Oh FFS, you look lovely MaryZ

Hullygully · 19/06/2014 13:24

That dress is scarlet Miss Mary. Do you want to be taken for a harlot?

White is more suitable. And you should cover your shoulders for fear of provoking unbridled manly emotions when the regiment arrive.

Is there juniper tisane?

HoneyDragon · 19/06/2014 13:25

I'm not helping with Mr Rochesters leg either.

I have an ear infection MaryZ

It is affecting my ability to type Grin

Hullygully · 19/06/2014 13:27

There is always juniper tisane. And Mr Rochester doesn't want your help. He is a proud proud man and stands alone, if with difficulty

It's in AIBU because it is the place of its birth and conception. We had to get our muskets out and fight for our right to stay though, when some folk in MNHQ colours came and tried to force us from our land Mistress Maryz.

Hullygully · 19/06/2014 13:30

yes, what mistress Honey said.

And also we didn't want our fine legends and lore disappearing.

Pagwatch · 19/06/2014 13:41

Lord, is there to be a ball?

AuntieStella · 19/06/2014 13:47

Can we insist on hose for gentlemen? (Or any men?)

HoneyDragon · 19/06/2014 13:49

I'll attend the ball, but I'm not marrying any of the undead again, no matter how could a match Madame Hully thinks it will be. It's quite put me orf husbands.

Mistress Maryz will have to do it.

HoneyDragon · 19/06/2014 13:49

Good, good a match.

We may have to send me back to ladies college.

farewellfigure · 19/06/2014 13:54

Ive been practising my tatting for ages in case an invitation from IPOAT should come my way. Can I be of any use polishing things?

Hullygully · 19/06/2014 13:55

You will marry when told, Mistress Honey. I have my eye on a gentleman of the regiment. He is of later years, but largely sound in wind if not limb and mind. He has a tidy fortune and you would hardly notice the dribble.

You are most welcome Mistress Stella, we need new gals about the Hall. Many of the gals ran insane and had to be taken to Brother Culler's new sanatorium.

Hullygully · 19/06/2014 13:56

Oh tatting is quite invaluable. We particularly need snoods for new gals until they are ready to be seen with naked heads.

farewellfigure · 19/06/2014 14:01

I will tat some snoods and make one for myself as well, as my attempt to make curls with a hot poker left my naked head somewhat unsightly.

AuntieStella · 19/06/2014 14:04

I humbly await my snood.

And offer ratafia to all as a mark of appreciation.
